Those charts don't show band gaps just a continuous spectral emission which is not a full picture. Like make peaks join the dots and you get a similar problem describing a technical aspect of light. It's why leds use luminescent coatings but I have already explained.

Because led is limited to it's gap wavelengths and hps has more wavelengths. I did say hps wasn't balanced like an led and led generate more efficiency which is why they are the best light for growing.

I'm not comparing sodiums as better just how led manipulated data and made sodiums a lesser product. Sodiums would be better if they could spread that out more even, it has obvious flaws. I own leds so even I'm bias towards them.
