This plant is really weird, showed male preflowers at the internodes (no calyxs at all) then all of a sudden threw pistils out of the tops (still no internode calyxs)

How does one go about trimming old growth leaves to open up bud sites? I don’t want to borrow the plant but a lot of sites aren’t getting any good light Thank you!

I have seen some male preflowers (balls) however not very many. And it looks like the tops of these have pistils but it’s hard for me to tell. Do these look like female bud sites? Any advice appreciated:)

Topped by plant 5 days ago, she is responding well even growing a 3rd shoot from the topped area. Looking for advice on how much time before I can switch to flower. I do not have much operating room. About 24 inches from canopy to light.

Thanks, would it be safer to top above that? I like the idea of a shorter plant but I don’t want to stress it too much
