true , will still be warm in a confined space tho marra ,i was thinking about stickin carbon pads on also but then read they work for a few days or so then they are no good at all .. I need stealth so obviously a good reliable CF is essential,,. and the only way to do that is to get a decent 4"...

your in the same boat as me , im looking at buying a fan but i must have a good FULLY WORKING CF. which aparentily a PC is not strong enough to run :-( i doubt PC fans are strong enough to vent that amount ov heat ,unless you hook them up around a cool tube on the bulb, than again thats more...

hey dude ... i read your thread on the walmart DIY CF Are they both the exact same cups as the OP'S on page 1? could you post a link to each cup plz, to make sure i get the right ones as i will be ordering from Europe thanks

dont forget the heat tho.....,that bulb will kick out lots of heat so spending more money on at least a strong fan (poss filter) is inevitable isn't it ...it adds to the cost further down the road

where is the fan used to draw through the filter?

awesome setup man!!!! bravo! some amazing buds you have produced did you make the CF or did you buy it? also where exactily is the exit from the fan? on the back? i have traced the CF through the cool tube and in to the fan but then where does it go?? lol can you take a picture for me? Also...

thanks for this! i am in the process of designing my first build , would that pc fan you posted be strong enough to draw air through a CF!? and how loud/QUIET would it be?...my cab dimensions are Width: 70 cm Depth: 40 cm Height: 72 cm And how hard/easy is it to wire in the fan controller? thanks

Thanks for your reply matey.....if i went ahead with this i would only use the front panels of the draws , mount them all flush with wood behind (in an N shape) and turn it in to a door style opening instead of draws, perhaps even a very thin layer of velcro all around to make it as air tight as...
