It is very dry where I grow as well, in the winter time around 35%. I don't even bother trying to add humidity, it is just another factor I have to control. I seem to have fair plant health. I am not as professional as some people on here though.
I change the reservoir every 10 to 14 days at Max. I have really low humidity in the dry Saskatchewan winters, only about 20%. The leaves in question are really crispy.

The LEDs are probably 12" away.
I'll keep the ph a little lower, to help the plants pick up nutrients that weren't as available at the 6.2 level. I'll increase the calmag as well.
