Thanks Mustang, so I read with the high phosphorus and organic matter to cut out the mulch(I had a good 2 inch of straw) and don't top dress, after removing the much which was pretty decomposed they have sprung back, so see how it goes thanks again

Thanks piratebug, I can't understand where all the sulfur came from! Plants initially grow really well then seem to lock out with what look like a lot of deficiencies especially phosphorus with purple veins and stems/stalks, also magnesium, some cultivars seem to be effected more than others...

Thanks Redskare, I'm most worried about the the phosphorus and sulfur levels they seem super high! Obviously I don't think you can remove either of those on there own?

Got you, I'll use a litre jug 4 cups, just I read somewhere 2 cups to the lbs so wasn't sure if it was done with weight or volume lol many thanks

Hi, do you measure up your ammendments using a 240ml cup? or do you weigh it up at 2 cups to the pound or 4 to the kg, we don't use cups here in the UK so not sure, thanks

Lol thanks for the reply and info, I was thinking what if I made the super soil as per instructions then mix 1/4 super soil to 3/4 base mix, instead of layering full strength at the bottom 1/3, don't know if that's been tried before, I'll try and figure it out

Ok after reading more on this forum looks like I took the wrong approach(my bad) instead of going with subs super soil, can I use the mixed ingredients at say 1/4 strength when I attempt to build my organic soil, or would It be better to responsibly dispose of the mix and start a fresh, I have 4...
