of course. I just got the light today and plugged it in to see if it works, and I thought I might as well keep it on 13 hours just to see how hot it can get inside my closet without any cooling.
I’m doing a dry run of the light (no tent, light on closet rack) just to see how hot the closet would get… went from 62f and stabilizing at about 77f. Humidity went from 61 to 44.
im relocating in a few months I’ll just keep my 600w light and wait. I didn’t know anything about air circulation until I created this thread.. now I know. Thanks all.
so if I go with the tent and have my fan inside going to the duct with the carbon filter outside I should be good as long as I keep the closet door open?
yeah I’m on top, I’m not drilling a hole anywhere. If I ditch the tent and grow in the closet how will I get rid of the odor?Dont I need Mylar? Shit, my closet has 6 foot racks I can hang the lights on easy.
and if I ditch the tent I still need the LED light or can I stick with the HPS and MH I...
bingo I’ll use a LED and keep the closet and bedroom door open.
So Inside the tent I have a fan and that air is blowing into a duct with my carbon filter outside of the tent?
Yeah it’s a coax cable. Those are the only two holes in the entire closet.
Inside bottom hole
Underside of bottom hole
Wires inside upper hole
Upside of upper hole
Im getting a 6” fan. So exhausting the air from the tent into another carbon filter outside of the tent would work to keep the temp down and rid the tent of hot air?
I’m a complete rookie with this so bear with me.. my plan is to grow inside of the closet located adjacent to my bathroom. I selected this location because I can keep it dark, it’s discreet, and it’s cooler than the rest of my apartment. I didn’t realize that the heat from my tent must be blown...
