I would keep the light 14" above the canopy at all times more power in flowering. If it is a photo plant you can keep it in veg as long as you like. When you are ready for flowering then flip to 12/12 and get ready for the stretch and flower stage. Keep it simple don't over think it good luck...

I got 3 32x32x63 inch tents I keep the room at 73 degrees Inside the tents 80 degrees RH 50 to 80% small 9" fan I unzip the door about 6" to help control the RH and temp. Is your man cave insulated makes a big difference.
