add lime to your soil to help keep your pH near 7. Hydrated lime to water to help in your current case. Eggshells and oystershells also work as well. All the above will add calcium to your soil, the lime will also add magnesium.

I hope you meant UVB, because UVA is harmful and has zero benefit. But yes UVB does help with the resin/production. The plant secretes the resin to defend itself from the UVB light radiation.

Ahh, manure is compost when mixed with straw... It is a compost pile that you are starting!!! That is why you mix the manure and straw with some moisture and let the composting begin producing the heat... Without the straw you have just a pile of smelly SHIT...
