You should not be expecting them to cover your costs for equipment. That is yours and they can't take it with them when they leave you.

We should all start calling them and let them know the word is spreading on how shady they are and how they need to pay you or the word will only travel further. Maybe they will realize they should pay up as word of mouth is spreading and they will lose more money in the long run.
