I never use the dimmer on a 300W LED.
24-36 inch for seedlings
18-24 for veg
12-18 for flower
I use a 50W LED to start the seeds outside the tent for 2-3 weeks.

Might use the dimmer to prevent flower burn if they ever get too close. Other than that, I don't plan on using the dimmer.

Hope this can do some help.

This is great, I appreciate the layout. What size would you personally consider into the vegetation stage? My plants are over 6 nodes now and have been topped. I have to say again, I am super happy with the quality and design of this unit. I will recommend your company to anyone that asks without a doubt

I use an aero garden to get my girls going then move them into a DWC for now while I work on constructing my new room and RDWC, I am even looking at a second spider 4000 if I can sneak it in without my wife disowning me lol.
But thanks for the tip, I have heard just adjusting the height from several people, however everyone bitched until Spider Farm added this feature so I am going to use it if I can since I’m new to the light anyways

Ok so I am struggling with my first ever grow, I am growing 3 x Dos-is-do strains in 5 gallon fibre cloth pots in a 4x2 tent with an SF2000 and a oscillating fan and a humidifier, temp is 27 degrees and humidity is 70.
Plants are 4 weeks old and still look like there on week 1/2 very small about 2/3 inches and the leafs look droopy not very much leaf growth, they started life in a solo cup and I transferred to a bigger pot due to the plant had stopped growing, when I removed the plant from solo cup it was root bound, I have upped the cal mag and still no growth can anyone help?
