If you arent under cover then rain is your biggest factor. Buds still looking great? Close to harvest? ..if rain is 80% tomorrow a grower is usually considering a chop or partial harvest. A heavy rain will sort of 'deflate' a bud in its prime, watch ur weather.
Exactly what I needed to confirm, thank you. Next season I'll construct a retractable cover for rain, this season is up to the rain Gods. This is how the plant is as of today,

Been going well so far until the rain yesterday.
One last pic before I have to start chopping because of mold/rot.
Cool tarp, where did you get that?

I noticed a small browning sugar leaf at the base of this bud, pulled it out gently and a brown leaf came out. Noticed a little more browning on the bud so I ripped it off, here it is. Conventional wisdom says it's bud rot, but this is my first grow. What do you think? What should I do? All the other bud sites looked healthy, it might have been isolated to that one bud site. The plant overall needs another 2-3 weeks, I trimmed off a bud around that rot to check it and the inner calyx is underdeveloped

Oh yea. Prepare for a shit storm. Once you get it, it's gonna spread rapidly. Classic brown stalk, little mush. Cut out everything within 4" CAREFULLY, as spores that are infinitesimal will be exploding in a puff you can't see. Best to cover with a zip lock, cut section, seal, repeat. You can try the h2o2, 1/3 water mix spray. But you should get some real mold spray, like Growers Ally, Zerotol, and treat anything surviving. Other option, if its too late, is just chop it all, save what you can, be sure to separate all mold. No, there's nothing you can do to save molded weed. No soaking no spraying no treatment, it's all trash that is VERY dangerous to consume. Trust me. I got real stories.
Good luck.

Holy shit i feel bad for the folks growing without cover in new England over 4 in here in 24hrs an still pouring Yikes rain in forecast tue as well.
Hey thump, whats cracking? Sucktobers here! Hey bro, I've had some real good luck with Growers Ally fungicide. Then I switched to the GA 3 in 1, can't give you details on that yet, but by spraying, after I spotted the first small grey splotches of botrytis, I have NO ROT, and I'm probably jinxing the shit out of myself, but my leaves are green and healthy, minus the usual couple yellow ones, and my buds are starting to purple up, and fatten up nicely. In fact, I thought that my branches had just rotted all over the top, only to find what I thought was a brown nightmare, was a purple bliss!!!
Hoping all is well with you, good luck with your harvest, I'll keep you posted.
Ps a higher potassium injection will boost your buds at this point, and is probably what is purpling up my plants ..

You a gardner now bud, just gotta keep checking colas for things that look off or wrong....indoors you dont have the high fluctuations of environment and that's what drives outdoors rapid degradation or bug infestation...ever see a gigantic swarm of flying insects when one day there was none? Same deal with mold, bacteria, algea, fungi. Once the settings are right the bad gets way worse real fast.
Them are facts.

Another plant came down today! I could have gone a few more days, but many of the buds have some kind of issue on the sugar leaves, causing them to dry into the buds and then the dryness starts spreading. Not bud worm rot, not botrytis, I think it is a form of septoria. The trichomes were almost all cloudy, with a few clear and a few amber, which is where I like it. Plus, it is good smoke! This was Oaxacan Iranian x Royal Kush. PXL_20220920_150655211.jpgPXL_20220920_150645687.jpg

Update Monday found start of mold on my top cola lower nug of one plant so removed it been a crazy summer literally went from gravy weather for september mid 80's day lower 60's at night to now 98 during day to 80's-70's at night we literally have heat index of 104 right now. To say that literally on leaf check would be understatement. Anyways that was only plant to show that mold and havent seen anymore but still vigilant.

Thank you (: Next season I'll try dr. Zymes in flowering and have a pop up tent for rain assuming this years crop is good. The 10 day forecast has 1 day of rain in 2 days, sunny/partly cloudy until October. Hopefully no more rot and I will be able to harvest October first

What zone, state is this in roughly in? Not looking for too much info on area specifically, just wondering why so much mold when I have 5 weeks to go?
I have lost 1 plant to mold but it was spidermites that was the culprit.
PS I'm in Massachusetts
Northern California, Sonoma County
One good solid day of raining, dense buds that got soaked, shit happens.
Checked them before I went to work today and was surprised didn't see anything new. Who knows, maybe I got lucky. But not likely, sure some more will show up tomorrow.

I tried a small tester bud, trimmed it yesterday and dried 36 hours. Was incredibly smooth, although a little racy initially which is expected since harvest ripeness is in 1-2 weeks. The effect was what I wanted sativa with the indica kicking in to relieve back pain. Can't wait to properly try it with a dry and cure in 2 months.
