I spent so much money one seeds during covid. The really funny part is I had fooled myself into thinking it was an investment. Happy to say I have purchased only one pack over the past 1.5 years.

Got 4/4 males from the BBHP I had going. Was sure the last one would be a female but nope. Oh well, time to start over

Sorry for your luck mate. Popped 9, ended up with a male from each batch and 6 female. Temps were around 82. Sometimes hit to 85. I guess I could always save pollen from each and f2 em Got 4/4 males from the BBHP I had going. Was sure the last one would be a female but nope. Oh well, time to start over

Sex is already set at the moment of fertilization. Half of the pollen grains produce males and the other half produce females. Is low temp causing some females to produce male or male looking preflowers and you're tossing them before finding out they are actually female, maybe. I would bet that if you carefully logged all of your germinations and the resulting sex that it would approach 50-50.

I'll offer this friendly amendment, the natural distribution of female to male seeds is more 65/35. Nature tends to place a premium on females, and that's not just in cannabis.
Edit to add: I'm talking specifically about dioecious plants above.

That's what I've been doing. It turns out that some of the plants are males, and some are females. I plant more seeds, and the same thing happens. Idk that it matters what the ratio is. In your farming practices, over plant the amount of seeds for the number of plants you want, cull the weak ones, and breed the ones you like.
