On a side note I use a 3000k w 660nm from Kingbrite. I had low humidity issues which definitely affected my VPD but I feel like I can't dial the light in appropriately
Good evening. I'm new here. Old to the craft. I'm going to convert to Quantum and ditch these P.O.S. Crees. Cheaper, cooler and less productive. I'm looking for some users experiences. Thanks to all.
Sorry i missed this. Cal / mag issues usually happen due to too much light coupled with too little transpiration and just plants not being used to strong light yet. And of course if you dont have enough calmag or use coco which seems to up the need for calmag or needing to prebuffer the coco.
Transpiration depends on stomata aperture, open stomata means the plant will draw water. The stomata opening depends on a whole load of things: temps/hum or really VPD
Spectrum and light intensity
Total photosynthesis
CO2 levels: more co2 less aperture.
General advice is to do all changes slowly, to see what new growth look like before you make more changes in the same direction. Use VPD as a indicator to where to take your environment, not as an exact measure.
