    When to re-pot seedlings (pics)

When transplanting, I like to bury more of the stem in the new pot. Generally to within 3/4" or so of the seed leaves. The extra stem below ground will sprout roots, as well as giving you more room to work with in the future :)

    Light Movers - Yield Effect

Greybeard: Go read these two threads: Get a harvest every 2 weeks Al B. FAQt There is some spectacular information in there, much of it relevant to your situation. That shite should be required reading for anyone looking to grow, IMO.

    First Grow, 400W Closet Setup

After evaluating the space I have available and seeing how bushy my plants are getting, I decided to start flowering today. I swapped out the MH for the HPS bulb and set the timer for 12/12. So begins the second half... None of the plants are showing signs of sex yet, but that should change...

At the low end it is about $0.07/kWh, at the high end about $0.32/kWh, but I'm sure that will change when they switch to "winter rates"

    First Grow. Indoor.

Looking good man. That is kind of weird about the droopiness, I haven't ever heard of plants drooping when fed, usually it is the opposite. I'd say that if they still look green and healthy, then you shouldn't worry about it :) We seem to be on about the same timeline as well. I'm looking to...

    First Grow, 400W Closet Setup

I think switching to 12/12 is going to be happening pretty quick. I have some Tiger Bloom here, and have read a couple threads that mentioned it was good to start that about a week before flowering. Does anyone know about that? Do I add that in addition to or instead of Grow Big? Also, I was...

    First Grow, 400W Closet Setup

Two days ago I trimmed off 2 fan leaves off of each plant, one from each of the two main stalks of each plant, to open up the middle more and get those under branches some light. It seems to have worked, as they are all quite a bit bushier... it looks like I might have to trim more soon :) I...

    vinigar? for plants?

Saturnlily: I have been using vinegar in my feedings and it hasn't hurt my plants at all. They are thriving, actually. I bought one of the pH test kits that comes with a little vial and a dropper of green stuff that has colors and numbers on it. When I first tested, the color indicated a pH...

Which is why I suggested filtering well and venting out through the attic as well as researching the topic further in my first post. A few years back a friend had a similar setup: high CFM inline fans, a good filter system and ducts running into the attic and out just under the eaves. Even...

Other Veggies in my Grow Room :)

I'm so jealous, I haven't had garden-grown tomatoes in so long! You also might want to let them ripen a little longer. Maybe it is just harsh lighting from a flash, but (assuming you didn't get some tomato that isn't red) they should be evenly red all the way around and come off the stem...

    First Grow, 400W Closet Setup

Hello all! I've been lurking around here, reading quite a bit and figured it was time to post today. This is my first marijuana grow but I have been growing plants of all kinds (houseplants, vegetables, fruit, flowers... you get the idea) pretty much since I can remember. Some of my earliest...

    400hps versus 400mh

The only other thing I'd ask is keep everything as similar as you possibly can, except for the lights. Sounds like an interesting experiment, for sure.

    Is THIS unique?

Doobiedo: Damn. And I thought I had something original going here. ;) MrFishy: Nice lookin' joint! I've rolled some large ones, but never one with 'branches'. How long did that take you?

Of course the dog is going to smell it. The point is that he won't actually do anything unless his handler has specifically instructed him to seek out drugs. Drug dogs, bomb dogs, dogs trained to seek out whatever are not constantly seeking out whatever they are trained to seek.

FYI: I am 99% sure that the drug dog will not alert on the smell of marijuana (or any other drug) unless specifically instructed to search for drugs by his handler. If anything, it is the guy himself that would detect it as I highly doubt he'd be walking his pooch around the neighborhood in...

    400hps versus 400mh

Sounds interesting. Everything I've ever read shows that HPS will increase yield. You say the MH wins because the buds are bigger and swelled more, but what about the density of them? Trich development? Also, "I know for a fact it will taste better" isn't very convincing. Not trying to be a...

Is your light attached to those plastic hangers? If so, I'd recommend going to Home Depot or some other hardware store and picking up some chain and s-hooks. Most will have a section where you can cut custom lengths and it is pretty cheap too. Other than that one thing, looks pretty good to...
