Stupid question but need to know!

Smell depends heavily on the strain, but if you are thinking of growing anything then the proper precautions should always be taken. The beauty of a small grow is that you will not need many precautions. Perhaps just an air freshener. Be safe and enjoy your buds.

New person, need help, dealer trouble

I got to page 2 and read enough. I don't advocate violence because it's not good for your karma. You lost money but didn't loose everything. Think of it this way: You payed $120 to learn a lesson, drugs are just like toilet paper. Walmart would never let you walk out with toilet paper without...

    Recirculating DWC Question

I depends if the water will be sitting in the buckets for long or not. The longer they sit the more chance for algae or fungus growth. If your buckets have water in them for anymore than I would say 2 hours, you may want to consider either air stones for each or a anti-fungal/algae supplement to...

    When should be preflowers appear?

Yeah you just have to wait for mother nature or take a clone or take a box or something and cover one of the node sites. You can locally induce flowering, and it won't interfere with the rest of the plant.

    Best strain for scrog?

For a scrog I would say less is more. It's much easier, in my opinion to scrog say 3 or 4 plants because there are less variables. If you only have to take care of 4 plants, that will fill the screen quickly, and it's less work on your part. Training many plants under a screen can be annoying at...

help, hepl, help-some gray little bugs eating my plant leaves!!!

If you don't mind fishing around in the woods, I found a ground beetle that ate all my spider mites in one night, he got huge. Just poke around in the woods a bit and try to find either a carnivorous bug or try to catch some lady bugs. Like I said the ground beetle is carnivorous and eats fast...

    n def, need help

As long as one has sufficent air movement, mold is not an issue. As for the deficiency, so much of growing is tailoring solutions to you specific problem. If the foliar feeding solves the problem, then you have no problem. Give it a try and see how the plant responds. Enjoy your buds.

Why lumens don't mean anything to plants.

I didn't realize you could convert them. Perhaps this explains why, though lumens may be a misnomer when picking lights, High Pressure Sodium lamps still do the job well.

Complete grow kit...any opinions on this?

You're def right about that man. Don't listen to nay sayers. I've found that people who actually have done things, a.k.a grown under t5s, have much better things to say about it than those who just perpetuate rumors for the sake of sounding knowledgeable.

Light Distance Didn't Effect My Buds

$0.01: Light does diminish as you raise your lights however proper reflective material around the plant and behind the bulb can counter act the distance. $0.02: Lumens are for human eyes, plants have a different photoresponse spectrum. In other words the amount of lumens a light has is...
