    Metal halide color?

What kelvin is your 600w bulb? Mine definitely do not look like that. What kind/where did you get yours?

    Metal halide color?

I'm new to metal halide bulbs and I just acquired two fixtures yesterday night at a great deal. I went to the store and picked up a few from each just to test them all and take back what I don't need. From firing them all up and waiting about 30 minutes they all seem fairly yellowish.. none of...

    caddy's Journal #1 - Papaya & Haze 19 x Skunk #1

Thanks :) I truly did think about doing that. But again with my gut, I am technically savvy in a lot ways but something would not let me rig those lights up and leave it running while I'm gone, lol. Probably safer than ever doing it, I just don't trust certain things and that's one of them I...

I would certainly subscribe to that grow journal thread. I'm not sure I would smoke the harvest, however. :)

    Advanced Nutrients question

It would probably be more desirable to use the bloom A & B for just flowering.. That is why the have a 2 part program both Grow A & B as well as Bloom A & B.

    caddy's Journal #1 - Papaya & Haze 19 x Skunk #1

A quick update in regards to lighting.. I have been anguishing over what metal halide to buy (250w or 400w) and found a Sun System II 400w MH on Ebay by RVFGarden for just $184 shipped. Something told me to just hold off.. I don't know what it was, instinct, gut, whatever.. but if there is one...

Plants Drooping after 14 Hours of Light

Probably wouldn't matter whether its clone or from seed. I am running an 8 site DWC 30 gal tub for the mothers. About 2 hours or so before lights out they sag slightly, 1 hour or less after lights on the next morning they're right back reaching for the light. Soil growing is just slower...

    Huge Changes from Advanced Nutrients???

Good find, waiting for your scan :) - On the other hand those guys come up with "ground breaking" products newly introduced every 2 months or so it seems.. Probably just another marketing gimmick for another good product of theirs. I do use and love their products, however.

Plants Drooping after 14 Hours of Light

Same thing happens to me. I just take it as they're getting ready for the the dark. A few hours before lights out (6am - 12am) they start to sag.. by the time I check them in the morning around 7:15am after the lights were on for an hour and fifteen minutes they're perked right back up. You...

2,118 lbs seized.. fairly clever idea? ;)

Those pictures don't do it much justice.. I saw it on TV first and it really did look like a pretty legit UPS truck, haha. How cocky would you need to be to just pack an open box truck with 2100lbs of smoke, slap UPS stickers on it, paint it brown and drive up to the border.. the driver must...

    Advanced Nutrients question

Sensi Grow & Sensi Bloom are a part of a 2+ program but each is designed for specific phases of the plant. Sensi Grow 2+ is for the vegetation stage up to 8 weeks. Sensi Bloom is the two part program for the flowering phase.

    Bubble grow No.2

Try grabbing a solid PH down from TechnaFlora or other manufacturer. If you're using natural up/down base & acid's they don't contain the buffers to help fight back the PH rising. You will need to use real PH down diligently until you get to a point of balance where it takes less and less...

    Controlling PH for Hydroponics/Aeroponics

I check mine twice a day, a.m & p.m - I find by slightly micro-managing the PH I ensure total stability and environment control. I'm a new grower in hydroponics so I take nothing for granted, if the veteran gardeners say keep it at 5.8 +/- .1, that's what it shall be. As for what I use -...

Old in the Way-First Grow Journal

I just want to say what you're doing is great. People like myself absorb the knowledge you and others exhibit here and try to put it into a practical, stable, working environment. Your indepth posts and comments really help make that a reality. Thank you again (and others of course) for the...

As I draw closer to my Al B. Fuct perpetual grow system, I am really enjoying how this is turning out. It won't be long now until I start learning & mirroring his cloning process with what I hope to be 2 solid mothers of each strain. I'll sex them all accordingly with a few trials using his...

    Metal Halide question

Thanks for the input, the clamp lights I do have are ceramic and on the inside of the reflector it states for best use with 250 watt Type A bulb.. Having searched and seen Type A is a normal bulb socket base, I'm curious if these would still work nonetheless.. The wattage is 150 less than what...
