my understanding is pond-zyme is almost equal to great white. its beneficial bacteria, now my res is sterile it will kill beneficial bacteria so pond-zyme wont work for me. but i do have my hesi power zyme, im just unsure on its shelf life and would like to know.

lol i see. dont worry at all about the purple. it happens outdoors when its a lil bit cold. lets say 50's maybey 40's. the chlorophyll turns from green to purple. completely normal. stalks turn dark also.

i ran into the same thing with my setup. first time aero here too. if your using only chemical ferts than you can put 5-8 drops of chlorine per gallon of water in res. this should kill off any bacterial growth in your res. if you have a slime residue collecting than im sure it will help you out.

cutting your losses now doesn't make sense. if you want to grow another run, finish this one properly. fight the spider mites, they will plague your next round if your don't get them under control. and do you want potent bud or just something to smoke.
