4x8 ebb and flow yield techniques...show me what you got!

you shouldn't get root rot with RW, you must be over flooding. Don't flood RW/cocomat setup more than 2x day lights for 15 min, even if you don't get root rot, your roots won't grow well when its that wet. When you first put the clones in, you should almost let it dry out before watering again...

    What Do You Think?

The pic was blury but when you see yellow specks, always check the bottom of the leaves. Glad to hear it wasn't, can be impossible to get rid of. Nitrogen def won't speck the leaves, it'll yellow the whole leaf evenly from the bottom up, starting with lime green and then going to yellow, just...

    What Do You Think?

You should invest in a HPS light too, those tubes don't cut it, its like trying to cook a gourmet meal with ingredients from 7-11. In other words, you'r limiting yourself before you even begin. If you insist on not getting a real light, make sure they are T5's and get them as close as possible...

    What Do You Think?

that fan closeup looks like you got spider mites....been a while since i had them but those yellow specks are an indication they are sucking chlorophyll out of your leaves. Hopefully I'm wrong but it doesn't hurt to look. they are almost too small to see so look really close, they look like...

White widow, week 11 flower, little to no amber?

Impressive that those were grown with tubes. I agree with the HPS vs. T5 thing, T5's probably take longer (never actually used them though) You can tell they are really close by the way the calysts are swelling, if you have a few starting to go amber, you're getting really close. Wait till the...

4x8 ebb and flow yield techniques...show me what you got!

No$kiil$....I think I'll try to do an every other day method, strong stems are what I'm looking for, i typically have 2-3 tops with thick stems and the rest are a bit thinnner, the weight obviously comes off the larger stemmed ones. Sounds like a lengthy fix of trail and error. I haven't...

4x8 ebb and flow yield techniques...show me what you got!

No$kill$, i've done slabs/mat and I get better roots from 2gal on mats, more air and its easier to flush too. Roots are going crazy, whole tray is full. My stalks are noticably larger too. I prob have it to about .65/w vs. .5/w with the slabs. Share some of your pruning/training techniques, i...

    What Do You Think?

Gobskii, i never said you were wrong, you're just funny. i grow from clone anyway with HPS so i never have that issue. Seeds are so 1980, the strains I grow aren't available by seed.

Don't worry about root development, just keep burying it deeper...lol

4x8 ebb and flow yield techniques...show me what you got!

Yes bigger roots is what I've aimed for this time around. With the coco mat, I don't think the 5 gallon makes a difference since I can grow down into the tray. 2 gal was about as big as I could go with hydroton if I didn't want to hand water them the whole time or add a drip to the top, the...

4x8 ebb and flow yield techniques...show me what you got!

How much can you yield off a 4x8 ebb and flow tray? Looking for new ideas/techniques. I can only get 1/2g/watt, trying to push that closer to 1g. Post pics, mediums, nutes, techniques. I currently run 12 2-gallon mesh bottom buckets filled with hydroton and a cocotek mat underneath to maximize...

Just don't get too close, I have no experience with non air cooled, I use 3 600's that are glass sealed and have air pumping through them at a very high rate. That reflector of your looks like an antique...lol. I go about 5-6 inches above the tops. A foot is a guess for you, may be closer or...

Second grow will do a journal this time round

looks good, you're gonna be bored for a month now. I'd toss some crates under those smaller ones to get everything as close to the light as possible. Lumens go down by A LOT every inch further away from the bulb you get. More lumens=bigger/tighter flowers....thats why cfl's grow garbage...

Harborside Wins Best Indica at The High Times Cannabis Cup!!

How does harborside win that? isn't that from BOG seeds (bubblegum x NL5) and grown by a vendor?

Want to Know If Your Plants are Finished?

med man- i'd just let it go the normal length of time, chop off what female parts you can, pop the seeds out and smoke that, and turn the rest into hash. Cutting early and making hash with immature trichs isn't gonna make good hash so I think your at the mercy of nature regarding what those...

Want to Know If Your Plants are Finished?

buy a 80x pocket microscope at radioshack for ten bucks, then google pictures of trichcomes, clear is not done, all milky or all milky plus some starting to turn amber is done. All hybrids are pretty much done between 56-70 days if you want a ballpark. 9 weeks is right for most strains...

First grow!! Plz help.. Barely a week and curlin down??? Nneewwbb<<

wait for some more leaves to sprout, they look fine. If you want to harvest anything useful off of those, get an HPS light, cfl's don't cut it once you start flowering.

Second grow will do a journal this time round

you might still be able to do it now but your window closes after you turn to 12/12. I've done it as much as a week after and still had them root though. I bascially just take dirty scissors and cut a shoot off (3-5 inches with a growing tip) at a 45 degree angle, scrape the bottom of the stem...

Second grow will do a journal this time round

the male will pollinate the females and then you'll have seedy crap on the rest of your plants. You're gonna have to bite the bullet. There really is no option of keeping it in that tent, it just needs to be out asap. If you do keep it elsewhere, make sure you don't transfer pollen by air...
