Did you flush at all? How quickly did it take for your buds to get crispy edges? What was the temp. & humidity in the room you dried them in? Too dry/hot during drying will seal in moisture, and will make it longer, and harder to remove that moisture through curing. I would be thinking more...

Any amount is a good amount. A bit more light, and more experience, and you will have larger amounts mate :D Just dont make short cuts during the dry, and cure, or all your hard work is wasted.

What do you do about strains that dont turn until after they are harvested? What strain do you have? Id find out the basic timeline that it takes for that strain to become fully mature, then go off that. You can tell when growth of the buds slows, and thats the time you will want to be harvesting.
