First time QWET can you check the process so I don’t scew up

I’m a big fan of qwiso and put a lot of time into it some years ago. There is actually a link at the bottom of this post in my signature line to the process I used. It was an amalgamation of things I read from others as well as experiments I did myself, nothing ground breaking just a solid...

SOG method - how many plants per sqft or 4x4?

I love SOG, 45ish plants in 6 inch pots of hydroton in a 4x4 tray pulled a consistent 2-3 lbs from a single 1k light for over 10 years. Yield varied based on genetics, but it was a great system for quality and yields.

How much longer do you guys think

I know this isnt what you want to hear, but frankly it’s waaay to early to make a harvest estimate. That plant is in full swing flower mode, and is still producing new buds for you. I know it’s tough to wait. Hydrodan prolly gave the best answer with late October. But again it’s too early to...

About to Chop. New pistil growth or foxtailing?

So what’s the real story here, something is fishy. Multiple threads about the same grow, and your other thread says they are 16 weeks flowering. frankly they don’t look that old. It’s possible your grow conditions are out of wack and that’s making the plants progress very slowly. For example...

How do you properly clean and maintain a bong for the best flavor and smoking experience?

Cleaning it after every session with hot water really helps prevent the hard to remove build up. Once it’s dirty it usually kosher salt and isopropyl for me, then a nice hot water rinse.

    Have I gone too far

Ignore breeder harvest estimates, they are designed to sell seeds. The signs of ripeness are pretty standard for cannabis plants. First a few of the pistils begin turning color and start receding. Your plant is just starting to ripen. Depending on the strain you could still have two months to...

Going To Build A Grow Room

Personally I prefer to have a veg space and a flower space. It allows you to be able to maintain mother plants and clones or seedlings if you want, or to have constant cycles of vegging and flowering plants. I used a 6x6 space for flower for years with a 4x4 tray situated so I could access most...

How much longer do you think I should wait before harvest time?...

100% agree with this post. Your plants are still actively growing new fresh buds for you. You shouldn’t even be thinking about the end yet. once the plants are actually showing some signs or ripeness(which will takes weeks still) then you can cut back to half strength nutrients if you...

How much longer do you think I should wait before harvest time?...

Plants are looking good for mostly a window grow. Both those plants have lots more growing to do and will keep getting better for weeks. I would suggest waiting 3 weeks and coming back with more pictures.

    Leaf damage? Dtw coco

Yeah if the tops are just discolored from light burn it’s still smokable. I’ve smoked tops that got bleached almost white from getting too close to the light when I didn’t notice.

    Leaf damage? Dtw coco

Most grows aren’t sterile labs, and that isn’t really what I was suggesting by encouraging you to clean stuff. It’s just about good practices and not letting anything get overlooked. In my perpetual grow, I cleaned all the pots and hydroton every time I harvested plants. That was just part of...

    Leaf damage? Dtw coco

So I’m not gonna try to respond to all of this. But I’m going to share one thing. Take a deep breath homie, growing is supposed to be fun and relaxing. Stressing yourself out will only make you overlook things because you are frantic. I’ve definitely been in your spot where have issues and you...

Thinking about ditching the trellis increasing my plant count and going a la natural

I’m a big fan of short veg and higher plant counts. I ran a SOG for 10+ years.

    Leaf damage? Dtw coco

It sucks to loose any buds, but like I said before I trash anything that looks scetchy. I trash anything directly touching it that shows any signs or damage as well.

Help me start my perpetual garden

Post some pictures. It might be immature seeds, or it might be the ovules of the plant. years ago I started noting these tiny black seed looking specs in buds from a few plants. They didn’t usually affect the smoke, but I’d find them when I broke the weed up to smoke. after a bunch of research...

    Leaf damage? Dtw coco

I always toss any buds that are even slightly suspect. If I get bud rot I remove all surrounding buds, but don’t necessarily toss the whole cola. Anything like you posted in those pictures that’s deformed and off colored definitely gets trashed. It sucks but shit happens some times.

Perpetual SOG Experiment - Multi Genetics

I just prefer my plants with no males parts, even a few can produce unwanted seeds.

Perpetual SOG Experiment - Multi Genetics

I have nothing to prove or argue about. My post agreed with your research. Using rodelized plants will produce feminized seeds with low amounts of hermies. I simply added that using plants which don’t produce hermie traits at all will result in even less. I’ll grow feminized seeds some times...

Perpetual SOG Experiment - Multi Genetics

You should totally do whatever brings you enjoyment. Any plant that produces hermaphrodite traits has in increased rate of reproduction of those traits. yes plants that only produce a few late flower male parts produce less hermie offspring then pure hermie parents. they still produce more...

Perpetual SOG Experiment - Multi Genetics

Breeding with hermie plants is a subpar idea. It’s one of the reasons there are so many unstable herm-prone genetics out in the market. People get a dank hermie plant and then start making crosses. Sadly because of how genetics works some of the offspring will carry that gene and keep spreading...
