If you go directly into the tent with the split you could have a sealed unit and set up CO2

you could also set up a 4 x 4 next to it and exhaust into the 4x4 and have a perpetual set up

I have seen it done before, ideally you only have to cut the extension. Depends on the height obviously. I gave up flowering from May until october too much cost and stress.

Run your lights at night and see if it helps. I am not a big fan of stock speed controllers, but they work. Variacs can be a good investment. You have to play with intake and exhaust, you may find the high rh is due to semi stagnant air. I also do not know what your room conditions are.
