Hi Everyone, I'm jumping in here with my mainlining structure fully complete - they need to veg a bit more to be above the top of the ring and then I will secure the 8 main colas to the ring. However... I don't know where to go from here with defoliation? What do I defoliate BELOW the 8 tops...

That's interesting. I've already done a grow with this light, and had no issues. However, this time I blasted them on accident because I turned the light up to see what I was doing with the pruning/training for the mainline, and then forgot to turn it back down. The light was way too close...

I have mine about 30" away right now, but I have it on lowest power. I increase power gradually thru-out the grow.

The coco in the photos was wet, as I had just watered them that day. I don't water until runoff at this point, as there are not enough roots poking thru the nets. And right now I'm watering only every 2-3 days. BTW, thank you for sharing that beautiful photo - it looks like it was an AMAZING...

Yeah, I think I've chalked it up to the stress, and maybe this genetic is just more sensitive. At this point, they now need to grow out 4 nodes on the new branches before I top again. Here they are with their heads chopped off, but before I blasted them with the light. The bleaching literally...

Yep, I'm familiar - did a full grow earlier this year in coco. It's not lockout - I've been varying my between 5.8 and 6.3 and my other plants look healthy as you can see :) Thanks anyway

It wasn't that small - they were already at 6 nodes, and I'm mainlining (are you familiar??) Leaves are coming off anyway. Just kept them on to help gather light before I top again.

It's an Electric Sky LED - and it was definitely too bright and too close for these young plants, especially since I had just chopped their heads the night before.

BTW, those leaves are coming off anyway in just a few days to complete mainline - I just left on the fan leaves to gather some light while the nodes are growing.

My thoughts was that it was light stress on top of the stress they endured by chopping their heads off to mainline. My 2 plants that haven't been topped yet look great, no leaf issues.

But WHY is it only happening on TWO of my 5 plants? I hand water each plant based on size, they are not overwatered - and they are in coco/perlite mix (very hard to overwater)

I'm nearing the beginning of week 5 of flower and just noticed 2 of my plants with what looks like gonads - I'm hoping not, but don't know as this is my first grow. Can someone help verify? Overall flowers on both plants are getting bigger and denser, and look very healthy.

Yes, PH in and out is fine. None of my other plants are effected - just this one plant. It hasn't impacted growth rate at all, so at this point I'm assuming it's either genetic or some sort of mutation.

No, it's been happening for awhile now, it seems like it's becoming a bit more prominent since they are growing faster during stretch. The strain is Bubba Kush.

Is the curved leaf part of the genetics as well?

Yeah, I agree, your light looks like its too far away. I had slow growth the first couple weeks as well until I moved my light about 18 inches from top. As soon as I moved my lights down they really took off.
