Veins yellowing, runoff PH suddenly quite low (5.2) with a high EC of 2.0, plant is close to harvest

Interesting, I'll give those a go in the future. Am currently using the Advanced Nutrients line. Grow/Micro/Bloom, and the supplements at different phases (Piranha, B-52, Bud Candy, Overdrive). Seems to have worked well to date, but something really hit the fan in the past week.

Veins yellowing, runoff PH suddenly quite low (5.2) with a high EC of 2.0, plant is close to harvest

Or, simply locked out because of salt build up and bad pH I suppose. There'll be no Mg absorbed at that level of acidity...

Veins yellowing, runoff PH suddenly quite low (5.2) with a high EC of 2.0, plant is close to harvest

Yeah I thought so too, but I've been giving 2ml/L of Sensi-Cal CalMag with every feeding. Could it be natural senescence? Plant is probably 1 week away from having the right amount of amber for harvest...

Veins yellowing, runoff PH suddenly quite low (5.2) with a high EC of 2.0, plant is close to harvest

Ok thanks. The yellowing veins seemed like lockout issues to me, which makes sense if you consider the pH of 5.0 (near everything is locked out at that level). So I was wondering if I should FloraKleen it to a more nominal range; am assuming that salt build-up is throwing pH and EC. I always...

Veins yellowing, runoff PH suddenly quite low (5.2) with a high EC of 2.0, plant is close to harvest

Grow is in coco coir, using the AN line of nutrients. Feed water was always measured at 1.0-1.1 EC, pH set to 5.7-5.8. Runoff has typically been good, but it seems to have taken a very fast turn for the worse. I've checked my instruments, and they are well calibrated. Is this typical close to...

Leaves dying from the bottom. Tips clawed down, rust color.

Just wanted to post an update. I've built myself a system with an SHT30 sensor to monitor VPD in the grow cab. So far, I've been able to keep it in check. The system sends me text messages if it is trending wrong or exceeding bounds, so that ought to help me eliminate a variable and quickly...

Leaves dying from the bottom. Tips clawed down, rust color.

@teddy bonkers interesting, so the pH affects different nutrients at different ranges. Looks like the 6.0 to 6.5 range is most available?

@Tuckatan how often are you watering? As needed based on how dry it feels? Cocoforcannabis.com recommends maintaining 90-100% saturation.

I wonder if the site's Calmag PPM is balanced by the higher pH? Higher pH means less nutrient uptake right? Forgive me if I'm wrong, very new to all this -- trying to soak it in, and the information varies greatly from site to site.

Hm, PPM target the site instructs, at early veg is 550, with some adjustment if your tent runs humid or dry...

The nutrient schedule I've been observing has been this one here: https://www.cocoforcannabis.com/mixnutes/ He talks a bit more about EC targets here: https://www.cocoforcannabis.com/ectargets/

Thanks for helping! 1. Coco coir is buffered, was made with these instructions/video: https://www.cocoforcannabis.com/how-to-prepare-and-buffer-coco-coir/ 2. I am feeding CalMag with every feeding, I've been following these instructions here...

Leaves dying from the bottom. Tips clawed down, rust color.

Seeing new symptoms on a first grow. Coco, pH 6.2. Temps 23-25, 65-70% humidity (trying to keep to VPD chart) EC is at .8-.9 not sure how to fix: appreciate the help!

Bottom leaves, tips seem "burnt" - what causes this?

So I had one night with better VPD, temps were 26-27, and it was sitting around 72 degrees F. Unfortunately, it looks as though this "tip" problem is starting on the leaves at the second node as well. What ailment does this? Starts on the lower leaves, works its way up, and crisps up the leaf...

Bottom leaves, tips seem "burnt" - what causes this?

I've gotten some tips that this might be related to VPD. I'll try working on that.

Bottom leaves, tips seem "burnt" - what causes this?

I hope I haven't screwed that up! I am using the bluelab ppm pen, which has an EC setting (it also has PPM 500 and PPM 700). From what I'd read, EC with this device was truly just that; EC (https://www.planetnatural.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/ppm-pen.pdf). (0.9 EC) My guiding reference...

I've been following the http://cocoforcannabis.com instructions to a tee, currently: Strain: Jean Guy photo Age: ~16 days past cotyledons Medium: Coco, buffered w/calmag (per Dr. Coco's instructions) Humidity 75%-80% stable Temp: 23-24C stable Light: Migro 100, 22k LUX measured at canopy EC...

Wanted to say thanks for the tip. 2 inches down, and the plant really grew a ton overnight. What a difference.
