I also grew this one out and thought it was great. Took quite a while curing before the raspberry smell kicked in. Started out as typical lemon kush type of smell (smelled great) and after a few months curing that sorta gave way to some raspberry terps over the top of everything. Plants were...

    Hot Diggity's Lab

Hey man, I really have enjoyed this thread so far and am psyched to see you are still updating! Really great stuff, especially for people interested in single cola from seed grows. I noticed that in chapter 10 doing 12/12 from seed still took about 100+ days. However, I think some of your...

DWC: Any reason not to keep Rockwool starter cube raised slightly in the net pot?

Hey buddy, nice system! I actually did something similar. I had a DIY single plant FnD setup. I ran into some problems in late flower with the plant getting really root bound, but I only had 1 gallon of hydroton. FnD is a great system no doubt, but I'm going to try DWC again for a while.

DWC: Any reason not to keep Rockwool starter cube raised slightly in the net pot?

Is your Rockwool soaked the whole time? I had stem rot in my last grow that cost me 3 plants because my rockwool was too wet. It was a soilless grow not dwc so it's not the same thing because there was no aeration, but still had me worried.

DWC: Any reason not to keep Rockwool starter cube raised slightly in the net pot?

My rockwool starter cube is staying too wet. I would like to be able to keep the water level higher, so I’m wondering if there is any potential problem with only burying half of it like this: Any thoughts?

    Question about rockwool

The caps and clips are really nice. The clips come off fairly easy so you can move plants around. The caps do a good job of preventing algae and help spread water evenly if you are watering by hand or without pressure compensation.

DWC Root Slime Cure aka How to Breed Beneficial Microbes

Anybody running tea successfully long term without EWC? @Heisenberg seems to indicate in post #233 that you can use just great white or similar product, but not 100% sure. https://www.rollitup.org/t/dwc-root-slime-cure-aka-how-to-breed-beneficial-microbes.361430/page-12#post-5259402 I'd like...

Please help identify this, clear slime, mucus, algae?

Hey Heisenberg, I read through some of the Heisenberg tea thread and didn't see how you use Rhizotonic and Kanagroots? These are used in DWC at normal amounts after the tea gets the slime under control? Thank you!

    Question about rockwool

With flooding I actually only had to flood once per day even in flower. Using drippers is a little different. Flooding really soaks the blocks. With top feed they don't get as saturated because you start getting run off before the block is completely soaked even if you are dripping really...

    Question about rockwool

You can grow pretty big plants in a 6x6x6. I've had them a little more than 4 feet. Any bigger than that and you might wanna stack the 6x6x6 on a slab, or start in a 4x4x4 and then stack that on a 6x6x6 or a slab. These were 6x6x6, all plants at least 3 feet tall (8 plants in a 2.5x2.5 foot...

    What's up with this seedling?

Hey guys, just started some seeds and one seedling is looking a little wonky. I started the seeds in rockwool at .7EC (including .3 from my tap water) about a week ago, and then I topped up yesterday with .6EC (including .3 from my tap). Not sure if it’s under fed or what, I honestly normally...

Light burn consistently with cobs/strips after 5th week of flower at only 30k lux?

Not sure about the PPM but the base bloom nutrient has this analysis:

Light burn consistently with cobs/strips after 5th week of flower at only 30k lux?

It does, but not much and I don't use much of it. I only use like 3ml per gal at most and usually 2 or less. The Mg supplement is mainly Mg, Su and P.

Light burn consistently with cobs/strips after 5th week of flower at only 30k lux?

Thanks again man! I snuck in this edit but you're too fast lol... Do you happen to have a source about heat stress and Nitrogen uptake? I'd definitely be interested to read that.

Light burn consistently with cobs/strips after 5th week of flower at only 30k lux?

I think this is probably the most likely explanation. Only the leaves up top are affected, all of the lower growth is fine, and it only happens when the plant has gotten tall and the top is far from the intake of the tent. Do you happen to have a source about heat stress and Nitrogen uptake...

Light burn consistently with cobs/strips after 5th week of flower at only 30k lux?

Thanks, that's exactly what I was looking for. Hmmm.. so an excess of sulfur could interfere with Cu. I do get extra sulfur in the Mag Pro supplement. Really not sure if it's nutrient related though, but can't rule it out.

Light burn consistently with cobs/strips after 5th week of flower at only 30k lux?

I haven't had a water test so I couldn't say for sure. Dyna Gro is pretty light on the cal, but I'm using an Mg supplement (mag pro) since it's part of the schedule. My tap is only 150ppm so even if that was all camg it wouldn't be too much IMO. I can't find a chart I've seen that shows what...

Light burn consistently with cobs/strips after 5th week of flower at only 30k lux?

So my tap is .3 EC and I feed at a total of 1.0 EC. That means I'm only adding 350ppm of nutrients. It's actually still possible I'm over feeding though because the media is so small. However, I measure run off a couple times a week and I never see high EC come out... I keep the blocks wet by...

Light burn consistently with cobs/strips after 5th week of flower at only 30k lux?

The only thing I can think of for copper is pH. I did a 2 point calibration on my meter with fresh 4.0 and 7.0 solution and the rez is at 6.1 pH. The run off of the plant in the picture has 5.7 pH. The nutrients I'm using have copper in them so I don't know. Here is another plant, same tent...
