High pH and chloramine in (Berkeley, CA) tap water for outdoor grow: treat it or not?

I've been letting it sit, but from my understanding, chloramine (which ebmud uses) is much harder to break down than regular chlorine. From what I've read, UV and aeration isn't too effective either. I'm sure we can still get great results with standard-ish tap, but I'm trying to get the most...

High pH and chloramine in (Berkeley, CA) tap water for outdoor grow: treat it or not?

Here's the test strips I bought https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00R3EQ84S/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 If I see any difference with the hose filter I bought, I'll send you a link to it in a couple days. If I'm still finding chloramine in my water, I plan on buying some...

High pH and chloramine in (Berkeley, CA) tap water for outdoor grow: treat it or not?

I'm in Berkeley. I got a water hose filter and some chlorine/chloramine test strips being delivered this friday. I'll let you know the results. You're overthinking the PH thing. Some mediums you don't need to worry about it at all. I'm growing hydro, so I do. Just get a cheap electric PH tester...

First time. I use to grow about twenty years ago, but never with coco I went with hempy's to reduce maintenance. Is ec/fertigation fluctuation exclusive to coco? Do all other top mediums need to be kept moist as well?

So I'm just better off top watering like I normally would then? Should I be watering every other day or so to keep it moist?

New to these buckets. I was thinking about running a feeding hose directly to the reservoir. Once the roots hit the water, the top doesn't need to be moist, and I can just exchange the nutes correct via the tube, correct? The top medium I'm using is a coco/perlite mix.

    My Covert Covid Cannibis Closet

How many CFM's should my exhaust be pushing? I have about two feet of tubing and one 90 degree bend to move it all outside.

Total wattage for veg is somewhere around ~320, and then ~450 once I flip on the other switch for flower. The SF knockoffs are rated at 110 each, but I dimmed them a touch, and the Yehsense is rated at 265 when both flower and veg options are active. I assume wattage is halved when only vegging...

    My Covert Covid Cannibis Closet

The boredom from the 'rona got me to get back into growing after several decades. A little rusty and new to some things such as LED lighting. Any constructive input on my setup? The only issue I'm really dealing with currently is that the humidity gets into the mid 60's during the nighttime. I'm...

Anyone has never used this app Korona?

Bump, I'm curious about this as well. Does anyone have any dedicated meters they can compare it to? It has an option to measure PAR supposedly. I noticed my results became more consistent once I placed a piece of single ply tissue over my camera lens per this blog post of theirs...
