How do you know he hasn't done any research? It's quite an assumption. Either way, chiding someone to "do their research" when they are, in fact, doing their research really doesn't accomplish much, you know?

Has it occurred to you that asking experienced growers for advice is, in fact, a form of research? Besides, there's a ton of conflicting information out there about growing cannabis, and especially about defoliation. Having an actual conversation about a topic can be quite enlightening.

Are you in a house or apartment living situation? If you have a decent amount of space, you can mix up your own soil. Just buy dry amendments (I like Down to Earth brand) and mix it up yourself! You don't have to pay a premium for good soil.

How much kelp meal and dolomite should I be adding? I have the dolomite, was planning on half a solo cup's worth for the batch. Should I do more?

Even if these are autoflowers, you're still looking at several weeks before harvest, not 2-3.
