End of 11th week flowering. Ready or?

If trichomes are milky/amber on the bud itself, its ready. Putting them in darkness for 48 hours can be a heated debate, as some say its Bro-science, while others swear it is beneficial. I say, if it can't hurt it, why not try it.

    48 Darkness before harvest

Five gallon fabric pots. I have very good ventilation, and soil is normally dry after 3 days. Im thinking I can water one last time tonight, keep up with the ventilation, and put a dehumidifier in there as well, then chop in 3 days. Last 2 days in darkness. Sound good?

    48 Darkness before harvest

Ok, so water one last time tonight, and let her dry out for the next 2-3 days, then chop her down? I was gonna give her 2 days of darkness just to try that out, will watering her before putting her in darkness increase the chance of high rh and mold?

    48 Darkness before harvest

One more question, I normally water on Sundays and either Wednesday or Thursday. If I'm going to chop this weekend would you skip the last watering and just let her go, it would basically be 6-7 days with no water at the time of chop

    48 Darkness before harvest

Only have one, so will have to try different things on the next one. I agree, its probably best just to try different ways, and see which ones work out the best for me. I'm really happy with the results so far for my first one, has like 20 colas!!! Just don't want to mess it up at the end by...

    48 Darkness before harvest

This article says to flush/give only plain water the last 2 weeks. I brought that up on here, and basically everyone said not to, but to just lower the amount of nutes until harvest, but still continue to give them some. Flush or no flush, 48 hours of darkness, no darkness, its hard for a...

    48 Darkness before harvest

I am going to give her 48 hours of darkness, I have the time and I'm not chopping until this weekend anyway, so why not.

    48 Darkness before harvest

Or does that just take place anyway while drying and curing. Its all probably just personal growing preferences/methods that different people swear it does or does not work. Who knows, I was just wondering if made a very noticeable difference, sounds like it doesn't to me, or would take a lab...

    48 Darkness before harvest

I am going to give her a couple of days of darkness since I'm not chopping until this weekend, so I have the time to do it, and if it can't hurt, and possibly might help, then why not. Nothing to lose

    48 Darkness before harvest

Only reason I even considered it to be possibly true is because of an article I read. Guy harvested the same plant in different stages, no darkness, 24 hours darkness, 48 hours darkness, and 72 hours darkness, and sent them off to a lab, and he found that the 24-48 hours of darkness were more...

    48 Darkness before harvest

So no noticeable difference either way? I guess if it doesn't hurt the plant, and may save a little on electricity, its worth doing.

    48 Darkness before harvest

I'm ready to chop this weekend, how many of you leave the plants in darkness for 48 hours before chop? Does it make a difference or is it Bro-science?

End of 11th week flowering. Ready or?

Lookin good!! One thing to remember, the trichs on the little sugar leaves will turn amber before the flower trichs. So make sure to wait until the trichs on the bud themselves are the amber to cloudy ratio that you want, otherwise you may chop her before she's truly ready

End of 11th week flowering. Ready or?

I'd say the harvest window just opened, based on trichomes. When to chop is pretty much up to you at this point IMO, depending on what percent of amber trichomes you want. Keep her going until you've reached whatever percent of amber trichomes, then put her to bed.
