Sounds like a good idea since the CO2 will have to flow through the undersides of the leaves where the mass majority of the stomata are located. I say go for it.

In reality whichever method you choose you will do just fine and yield a lot as long as you grow them right (nutrients, lighting, temp, CO2, no light leak, etc).

I just watched the video and this is something that I would like to try out, but I would hate for everything to go smoothly throughout the grow only to jack it up in the last 2 weeks. Has anyone actually done this, and if so please post your results?

Look into buying a home RO filter. If you are drinking it and can afford it buy a system that alkalizes the water as well. Or go to a water fill up station and get RO water for 25 cents a gallon.
