its just a stem

so what should i do. or my plant already dead? if not how can i make it so it can continue to grow

i feed the plant a little bit of water every day in the noon. and i leave the plant outside all day in the sun.

i planted my seed about a week and a half ago outside in my backyard. after about a week a stem came out and it was about a 1/4 of an inch big. its been a couple days and the stem aint growing. its starting to get yellow from the tip. is there anyway fix this problem?
