Ah yeah, okay I get that. Well I realize I've left this part out which is a major concern, my bad. I've got the whole thing raised up about an inch off the floor. There are plenty of ventilation holes in the sides of the bottom if you look closely. The top cushions have large wooden cavities...

Yeah I know that would be pointless :P that's why I've got ventilation holes in everything so that's already covered. Also, there's a good bit of cushion on that thing so the laptop heat isn't transferring to the inside. Heat is not an issue.
