Anyone have any experience with these light meters? Mine reads 5,000 or 50,000 ( im not sure how to read it) foot candles at plant level with 24" distance between the MH lamp. From what I could gather it seems that is the most plants can utilize, anything more will just dry them up. Comments?

The side branches are trying to get out of the shade. The plant is so beautiful I dont want to mangle it. Does pruning make that big of a difference.
