    Astir Grow Led Panel Project...

I finished my first 22 watt panel: I used Cree XB-D's (6 WW 2700K, 2 CW 6500-7000K, 2NW 4500K) and two 630nm golden dragons of unknown bins, driven @ 680mA according to my calculations and 600 mA according to my multimeter. The Golden dragons are a quick fix because there were no xb-d's to...

    Astir Grow Led Panel Project...

Made a first plunge into my LED lamp construction: ordered 24 Cree xb-d warm whites, 8 neutrals (4500K), 8 cool whites (7500K, I think). now to get my hands on some reds. I almost feel like I know what I'm doing.

It's just that I've been toying a lot with that build my led custom tool and different ratios of color temperature of whites, and the main differences are in the amount of blue and far red (basically, with just cool white and red one gets more blue but 2% far red, whereas 3:2:1 ww:cw:r gets 3%...

How about using, for simplicity's sake, 1 625nm red for every two 6500K white? Kind of reverse evo led light.

Read -yes, understand and interpret - not so much. With Osram and Samsung I get only data for I=350mA. Anyway I'm not technically inclined (economy major), so I get confused easily.

Hmm, I run into some problems with the calculations. Assuming that I use the 4 red : 4 warm white : 3 cool white : 1 blue - the percentages given by www.buildmyled.com/custom-led-strip are based upon the assumption that I'm using leds from the same manufacturer and the same series. However...

Thank you, I was using more red because those Samsungs are more efficient @ 700mA, but I might have miscalculated. So blue should be under 20% forr certain?

    Astir Grow Led Panel Project...

I lurked on this thread for quite a while because I was going to build a grow light myself, after my head exploded few times I settled on the following build: 4 panels, each consisting of 6 630nm Golden dragon+, 2 cold white (5000K) samsung series 3535, 2 2700k samsungs, 2 blue Cree XP-E's) all...
