I do a small grow each year and I'm very happy with the results. But I'm always looking to do better. One thing I'm kind of concerned about is that I might be waiting a little to long to start harvesting my plants. I grow Indica based plants and my flowering stage usually takes about 12 weeks...

If not sure how much stress is caused, but to minimize it try to change the schedule in small increments of an hour or so like SilvaDuss says. I've also read that you want to extend the dark time when changing your schedule (make sure that they get at least 12 hours of darkness).
