If it was a brand new bag of FFOF, and the clones were young, it's probably a nute burn...I've had problems with this in the past. FFOF is a "hot" soil with lots of bio activity. As it sits in the bag at the grow store (stacked and wrapped in plastic) it creates a hot humid environment perfect...
