Identification male-female! Does it appear that it started to pollen

Another valuable lesson to learn is about how long it takes plants to drop pollen. Even if it was an obvious male(which it was not) it takes weeks before pollen would have began to drop, so there is no real rush or reason to worry about killing them asap. It’s always best to wait long enough...

    How you storage your water?

Municipal water supplies generally aren’t going to have enough chlorine to cause any issue. Especially since chlorine is actually a tertiary element use by plants for healthy growth. The key is what else is in the water not the chlorine. I had water at one place I grew that was over 300ppm...

    Baker's Best: take 3

The key to short veg time is growing more plants. I ran a SOG grow for over 10 years with plants that only vegged for 2 weeks after the clones rooted. I averaged over 2 lbs under my 1k light with some strains producing over 3lbs. There’s lots of guys that will grow 12/12 from seed and get...

    Lightproofing window

The blackout curtains that were talked about are designed to block light. And wouldn’t look wierd was my point. You could also easily put up curtains and then put black panda film or plastic on the inside and it would just look like curtains from the outside. That’s what I did at one of my first...

    Lightproofing window

Curtains aren’t suspicious though. So even if you can see the curtains from the outside that would seem totally normal.

    Photosensitivity flowering issues

How old are the plants? Once they reach maturity they can show pre flowers even without a light period change. I’ve even had an old mother plant start to form weird little flowers under 20/4 lighting. Thank fully I had a fresh clone already and I replaced the mother plant.

    Photoperiod Question

How long did your plant(s) veg for before you flipped to 12/12? Do you know what strain it is or whether it’s supposed to be more indica or sativa dominant?

    Photoperiod Question

It can take anywhere from 4-5 days up to a few weeks before you will notice signs of flowering beginning. It depends heavily on the genetics, and the maturity of the plant. An immature plant can take weeks to begin flowering. Your environment can also affect things. Cold conditions can slow...

    Thundercat's Groooooooow

Hey homie it has been a while, nice to hear from you. We are doing good. Just went snowboarding yesterday and had a blast. I’ve been trying to teach my daughter, with mixed results lol. When she gets tired I get to hit the big hills. It was 60 degrees so I was riding in a tshirt. I’m still...

Strain Chasing - Can it be a dead end?

As far as finding things similar to previous experiences it happens because the genetics are there to give those results in the right conditions. Particularly when using clones. It’s also vital to keep the genetics healthy and pathogen free or they can change over time. White widow was the...

    500 seed pheno hunt

Awesome write up! Great to see you got some keepers! Do you know what the genetics are? What characteristics did you look for and find in your keepers?

Strain Chasing - Can it be a dead end?

You’ve gotten some good advice here. Genetics are always a crap shoot. Even buying clones from someone you will usually get a different end result because of the various differences between the grow environments. I’ve given people clones so many times over the years and they NEVER have turned...

    Underperforming plants, various strains

While ph seems like it could definitely be some of the issue, I can’t believe no one mentioned temperature. You said you run about 74degrees which is on the low side for LED lights and CO2. LED lights don’t put out the IR which warms the leaves and helps regulate transpiration. When LED first...

4th week of flower first photoperiod plant

that is not true at all. Your plant easily has 3-4 weeks at least before it’s done. Might be longer, it’s still completely covered in white pistols which means it’s actively producing new buds for you and still growing. It hasn’t even started to begin the ripening process. take more pictures...

Thinking about ditching the trellis increasing my plant count and going a la natural

I would be giving them longer in my garden. This is that point where they don’t grow much on the outside, but they are still maturing and getting denser inside. Good things come to those who wait.

Harvesting Head High vs Body High

The best time to harvest any healthy plant is when it is fully ripe. That will provide the best quality of high, yields, and smoking experience. harvesting early often leads to plants drying to quickly because they lack the proper density, which results in poor quality smoke. Early harvesting...

12/12 light cycle: Can light during the dark period really do damage??

if it’s one time it’s very unlikely to hurt anything. The whole budding process is based on the internal hormone balance of the plant. It take a little time for that to actually start to change which would cause your issues. Unless your kid does this every day or frequently you should be just...

    Leaf damage? Dtw coco

Canopy fans help remove microclimates that happen between leaves and buds. The spores are everywhere all the time, it’s about preventing them from having that ideal space to grow. Even with good airflow it can be tough once the buds get dense. There was a guy on here years ago that went so far...

Thinking about ditching the trellis increasing my plant count and going a la natural

They look pretty healthy so I would just stay the course. If they are at 6 weeks now there is zero chance of them being properly done before 10 weeks. Like I mentioned in my last post I don’t see any signs of maturity.

Thinking about ditching the trellis increasing my plant count and going a la natural

Obviously it’s your call, but from what I’m seeing….. Seems early to cut nutrients off, they don’t seem to be showing any signs of maturity yet so the end is many weeks out still. I wouldn’t cut off feeding until the plant is at least slowing its forward progression and in those last few weeks.
