150w hps or 250w hps growbox

I have a sterilite cabinet from Target I will be making into my second growbox. Have a rubbermaid setup right now that works, but it's tucked back into a corner in the garage and it's a pain to lift the fucking lid off everytime I need to work with the plants. The footprint of the sterilte is roughly 19" by 26" and 36" high. I hope to grow 2 to 3 plants at a time. Would 150w hps be adequate, or should I strive for the 250? Also, cooltube or no? In such a small area heat will be an issue, and the box itself lives in a closet where venting to the outdoors wont be possible. So all the heat that's exhausted stays inside the area where the cabinet lives. Luckily it's in the same room as our furnace, which means during the summer we run the A/C and that keeps the room at 72! Lots of fans are a must!

Well I'm still building it, but HID hut has a 250 cfm PC type fan for 20 bucks! I'll probably use that for exhaust. What cabinet do you have and where did you get it? 5 feet tall is better than my three foot tall!

Can you get an intake & exhausr vent from outside the room that it is in and make it look like a return for heat/ac? That would help quite a bit..

what 250 cfm from a pc fan! i didn't know they would work that well do you think two of those would be good for my box(exhaust&intake) where did you get them?? o and i bulit mine cost me like 90 bucks for all the wood n shit, it was such a pain, but all worth it. home depot rocks dude they cut your wood for free. i'll upload some pics of my box there from a camera phone so i dunno if you can make it out as well.:peace:

Nice work! Those 250 CFM fans are @ HIDHUT dot com. They arent REALLY PC fans because they are round, not square, but they're cheap and the fan I have on my small box keeps it about 3 to 5 deg. warmer than ambient. It's 130 cfm! I will use that as my intake, and put the 250 for my exhaust. I heard you either want passive intake, or an intake that has less push than the exhaust, otherwise you'll be fighting with temp. Intake goes at the bottom, exhaust at the top.
