18 or 24 hours light???

if just started my first grow g-13 labs white widow fem. ive been veggin them under 400w mh 24 hours a day for 2 weeks but they seem small to me. should i maybe try 18 hour light cycle, to give them some rest??? any1 hav an opinion on wots best would be great!

they do look a bit small, but some strains are like that. i always give a dark period, but i veg 16/8 myself. they look petty dry. you don't keep them in that tray with the run-off do you? never good to let plants wick up run-off.

ok am gonna try 18/6 to see wots happens. theres groves in the tray to cath runs offs it usly evaporates is this bad?

18/6 iz betta.
tray is fine as long as they arent sitting in water all the time

24/0 for the rirst 2 weeks and then 18/6 for the rest of vegg.
(exellent results).

18 or 24 hours light???
