i have two white widows that i started from seeds, got them from herbies lol.they are both germinated and have sprouted.they are about 4-5 inch tall with two sets of nodes and another set of nodes growing,i have them on a 150w light but will soon have my 600w hps,is the 150w light o.k fo now?and how do i get the thickest stems i possibly can get out of my babies?also how do i make the plant more bushy with more leaves,i am a newbie so pls dnt take piss lol.

I'm not sure as how to make thicker stems as I am a newbie as well. Also I'm pretty sure having a bushy plant is mainly genetics not an external factor. You could always bonzai train but not to the point its a bush. You would probably kill the poor thing.

Look into topping and fimming to get them to bush out more, also super cropping. Fan will help to strengthen them stems too. While strain dictates more of the shorter vs taller plant (indica- sativa respectfully) you can keep the sativa plants lower and bushier (more nodes and stems) by using different techniques. I assume your 150watt bulb is a cfl? If so, that will work till your better light comes in.

How far away are you keeping your light? As above poster said, an oscillating fan will develop the stem. Also a metal halide light has a red spectrum that helps develop stem and leaf growth

4-5 inches sounds pretty tall for a plant with two sets of nodes... How close do you have your light to the plant? Might be strectched, which is the exact opposite of a nice strong stem.
