2 plants per 3gallon soiless pot?

I have a grow with 11 plants. All in 3 gallon pots.

One of the 3 gallon pots has 2 plants in it. It seems those two plants are doing well and will harvest a lot more than all the other pots.

Can anyone comment on whether it would be a good idea to double up all pots in the future? Or it might lead to problems?

Experiment and find out! The reason I've never done this is because my guess would the the roots would be tangled up and fighting for space/nutrients. I feel there will be problems with that and very high chances of root rot. I've never tried this and there is reasons for that XD GL man, keep an update

I've wondered about that. Pics would be great. How frequently do you fertigate? Did you lollipop? I would worry a little bit about airflow. If it's working better than the others why not? I'd like to see the root ball when it's finished.

I assume you always use fem'd seeds. Of course if you get a hermie you'd have to remove all of the flowers to try to keep it alive without pollinating everything else or else let the sister sit in the same pot with rotting roots from the chopped hermie.

The best is to take cuts(clones) and spread them out in the pots. As long as your using the same cut in the same pot it just another way of even out the growth since they have identical traits and growing characteristics.

I would lean them away from each other as much as possible. It's just another way of getting more tops from the get go running clones. People gonna say it's a problem but it's really not. It all depends how populated the pots get with roots at the end of the cycle. If you run coir it's not as big of an issue with a plant being rootbound.

In the past when I grew in soil using 3 gal net pots i was running critical mass by mr.nice and 1 plant would fill the pot with roots. You might be fine, you may get pot bound issues towards the end. Keep us posted. You might just have to feed that pot way more often and everything b great. Did you drop an extra seed or did the seed make twins?

Let me put it this way
If it were a good idea everyone would already do it
These aren’t peppers or tomatoes
They respond differently to stress and less root space is definitely stress
Your plant probably seems fine but in flower you will regret it
Why does everyone want to grow so many strains before they even master one ?
Good luck it sounds like you are gonna find out on your own
