ok so im new here to this great site. theres so much useful info here its hard to wrap your head round it all. so anyway lets get to the topic at hand 2700k vs 6400k lights. from what i gather from this site and many others like it 6500k is for veg because of its higher output of blue spectrum light and 2700k is used for bloom because of its red light output. well i was at my local hydro shop and the guy there showed me some interesting info. he pulled out his catalog that provides him with most of the equipment in his store and showed me the light spectrum graph for each of these kelvin temps (graphs provided below). as it turns out the 2700k light bulb doesnt put out all that much more red light than the 6500k lights. he told me that he had no problem putting plans through veg and flowering with only 6500k lights. so it seems to me that the 6500k lights are much more versatile and make a better investment as opposed to 2700k lights. of course you should always add some 2700k lights in there for bloom but i dont see why theres so much emphasis put on these two temps for different stages. so really im just wondering what all of you think about this and if any of you have experience with flowering with a higher ratio of 6500k lights? any input on this subject is greatly appriciated.

i'm not sure what you're trying to get at?
are you saying that 6500k is good to use for bloom & better than 2700k?

either way, mixing it up would be reasonable..
but, i would figure more like 2700k along with 3500k..
the 3500k bulbs are light reddish & brighter.. basically the bright whites..
so, they are somewhat similar to 2700k they just put off more light..

it's cool though, we all have our own way of growing..
