2nd e&f grow purplewreck [clone 2 finish]

this is how i continuisouly grow without a mother plant. my operation isnt large enough [9 plants] to keep a mother plant so i clone from my growroom the problem is that when i clone at finish of vege cycle & my clones take root i still have about 1 mo. to kill before my grow is done & i can empty my room out what i do is use my clone cabinet 2 grow my clones for that time it takes 2 finish my grow first pic. showes clones 2nd pic showes rooted clone

this is rockwool blocks in transformed clone cabinet im using 150w. halogen bulb [bought at k-mart] it works good in winter as clone cab. is outside & i dont use a heat mat as light keeps cab 80.f. i switch to cfl. in summer to lower temps plants grow until i can put them in grow room i use gh-flora nutes cuttings&seedlings program during this time period this is start of 2nd. grow & i want to share with every one start 2 finish

hmm a halogen, i have never heard of anyone using that for veg growth. not the perfect light spectrum... what are your flowering lights
 
haha yeah me neither, I suppose it would be more than fine for clones although, as they require little light.
 
haha, that just made my day. The halogen is good perhaps as it generates heat and I am such an idiot I was using a heater instead of just a heat lamp. I also use a clone heat mat to raise the temps a little. The root zone and the air to a degree need some heat especially at night. Cool. Good luck. I clone as I go to. Need lots of cuts tho, lol, I keep just taking four and every other time they all fail. Weirdest thing. Literally every other time. I think it has to do with fresh rapid rooters.

the halogen light is only to keep plants growing until my large plants finish budding & i can harvest them it seems to have a soft white spectrum i wouldnt recomend it for long term growth but my plants grow & develop just fine my grow cabinet is 18''x18'' & 38'' tall its one of those cabinets they put in offices to store documents to be shredded until the shredder truck comes by to shred them it has a slot near the top that serves quite well as a vent the bulb is a sylvania 150w. halogen that is rated at 2350 lumens no info on kelvins or spectrum is provided this is second grow ive started like this only this time i put clones in 4x4 rockwool so roots have somewhere to go after im done with the dome i use one of those tinfoil bake pans that have clear plastic dome to cover casseroles or cakes. if you pull up pic#1 you can see small thermomoter i use to keep tabs on things im not a rocket scientist & i prefer low-tech stuff that is easy on the budget i stumbled on to this when we had a cold snap last winter & couldnt get clones to root i have to keep my stuff out of sight as we have a lot of family & friends that have no idea what im up 2
 
hey tea tree this my first time using rockwool 2 clone i prefer rapid rooters because my success rate has been so good but the rockwool [so-far] is good too but still i prefer the r/r 's when its time to clone i soak r/r's to be used in tap water [my water =7.3 ph &80 ppm +-] i use powder rooting stuff & poke hole in r/r with a nail instead of the large hole they give you i dont keep water on them like the instructions say i also put toothpick in top of r/r to use for handle i then use egg carton to sit r/r in & place under dome & light i mist them once a day & every few days i pick them up & check for moisture & roots[after about a week for root] & when they feel dry i drop water on them with a turkey baster [one of those that resemble giant eye dropper] 1-2 times a week seems to work 4 me i get almost %100 success also after about 2 weeks you can start removing dome if clones dont droop in 1hr. you probably can wean them from the dome
 
picked up a ''casey jones ''clone today hopefully its growth rate is similar to my p/w as the c/j is a trainwreck /n.y. diesel hybrid i wasnt gonna mix strains this time but im a sucker for new strains also gonna throw a 707 headband in there too as i already cloned it
 
i got roots out the bottom of 6 of the 9 -4x4 rockwool blocks today ill try to post pics tomorrow it took 8 days for the roots to poke through
 
:weed:ok i took some pics this morning im gonna soak the blocks with nutes [seedling & cutting schedule] i have some plant growth as well as the roots i have about a month or so before i harvest other plants:weed: then i intend to vege them under 600w. in growroom for a week or 2 i hope to have clones about 12'' tall when they go in room:hump:

herk what good my friend it looks like all is well with you ready for round two isee well allow me t grab a seat im hear the whole way i really like how clean and uniformed you keep things in you set up very nice and a il envious of thoe genetice tyhat you have all exceptiona yeilders and good smokes too im glad to see the ineapple is helpingthe mango i read a review on it and they say it tasted like mango chutney lol chutney cant really think of what it is but i remeber my mom making it i believe kind of an acuired taste i would presume but i hope the pr helps the flavor to make it better i sill ahve not tried that or the purple wreck tough to find nething but kush or a washed up og oh well hope all is well ith you and your harvest plentiful watching this closely i think you have a better handle on and f then you thin also very good use of light ing in your clonebox using blubs to help wih heat very smart my friend keep it up :hump:
 
hey kali you should be gettin close to harvest ! good to hear from you i cloned the headband too i think im gonna mix it up a wee tad smoked some h/b gotta say its good stuff gotta get me some

yea its getting close most of the hairs ave changed colors they trichs are getting more cloudy now so havest is coming within the next few weeks or so it wont be this weekend but maybe the weekend after or by the third weekend out atleast 20 more days or so kinda bummed that im gonna have to pack it up until at least june or so once i move and then itsback on i hope to do a perpetual grow and another one with my 2x4 we shall see were things take us but how are you ladies doing i think your about a month or so in on flowering
 
hey kali my grow is exceeding my expectations im trying to make up my mind about the purplewreck as i have enough headband 2 do a complete grow & ive seen the results headband gets all of my friends headband yielded 2oz. or better & it smokes killer & sells like hotcakes also picked up a ''casey jones'' clone [thai-x-trainwreck-x-n.y.sour diesel] if the p/w dont pick up in yield soon than im gonna focus my attention to the headband which is a proven winner. my mango has really improved but i have no babies cloned although i have 4 of them outdoors the next 2 weeks will decide 4 me

hey man i know my grow excede my expcetations but i think yours is even better then mine i think you shuold do a headband grow i bet ur headband is very nice and it yeilds exceptional as well as its a premium smoke to to have but then again i think purple wereck may be just as weaually nice too and now u have the casy jones to another good yeilder id keep the mango just cause of its yeild to maybe something to have just to run outdoor its getting warm and outdoor season is starting up down here idk if ill do any outdoor this year id like to do some my lil bro got some out hindu kush or skunk not sure which one he said it is but he sprouted like 12 of em the other day and hes gonna take em outside but keep it up

herk your are lucky that is a great way to store your genetics i wish i could have some outdoor plants of my own but i got no place for em right now my lil bro is gearin up for his first outdoor and my old man is doin the same too he is also going to be growing some autostrains we shall see how that goes
 
hey kali hows it going??? i took a sample nug this morning i see a slight purpeling in top buds of purplewreck but the sample i took is from the mango. i know ur gearin up for the big move in 1 of my posts on your grow journal i posted e-mail address feel free to drop in & say hi if ya want to im gonna go back & study your set up im pretty impressed with your results
