2nd Grow, 2x150watt hps legal CA GDK + Master Kush grow

Hey guys

This is my 2nd grow, all legal 215 in california

i am a college student in the bay area and harvested my first grow which was GDP right after christmas. Its cured and currently just now being smoked. I ended up getting a 1/2 ounce off one small plant that was kept for most of its life in a 1x1x22" cabinet with a small scrog screen.

This grow has been in the making for a while. I got a clone and started a seed mid flower from my first grow, but i am just now (today) starting flower. I wasnt at school so i wasnt able to take care of my two plants so my friend watched them with his own and they got pretty big.

My set up:

  • 2.5x2.5x5ft tent
  • 5" inline fan
  • 2x 150watt hps
  • small computer fan for intake
  • unsure of soil, unfortunately it seems to be a not great soil with poor drainage but it will work
  • im running foxfarm big bloom and tiger bloom as well as supplimental cal mag
Ill be updating periodically, im thinking pictures once a week to help me keep better track of my grow

my previous journal was on a different site but i got kinda sick of the community there so i figured id post this second journal here and see what kind of feed back i get

Pictures!

These are from today

exhaust ducting wrapped around the back for light trapping

Intake ducting wrapped for light with a computer fan inside

Grand Daddy Kush from clone

Master kush from bag seed

Here are a few pictures from harvest day of the GDP
started to turn purple and it could have gone another week or so but i didnt have time to wait

Looking forward to another successful grow and journal

Those gdp buds look real nice..
Thanks man, I just finished a little bowl of it now. Been smoking mostly the smaller under buds just to save the good stuff for longer. I gets me nice and high. I harvested early for this strain i think though, i just guessed when to cut it and it came out more on the sativa type of high. Its very heady at first followed by a strong body stone but you dont get as tired when you come down compared to how the GDP im used to is. I like it a lot

decided to tie my plants down last night a little more. Trying to do it slowly as to not stress them out too much. Going to have another tie sesh when lights are on.

The hardest part was trying to figure out where to tie down the main stem on both plants to ensure the rest of the plant has light. My goal is to get the main stems as low as possible so the lower foliage doesnt have to stretch and can get as close to the light as possible.
