Hi all I’m currently getting ready to start my second grow under led lights I run marshydro tsl2000’s plus a ts600 and two other small led fixtures 60 pounders off Amazon ….. cheap Chinese copies bought them on the off u til I found marshydro ….. I have had good success with them I’ve had a good harvest and the bud has been top shelf …just getting to the last of my jars

Next run I’ve decided to start two strains
Biscotti mintz - barneys farm fems x2
Gmo skittlz - ethos regs x5 ( fingers crossed for 2 females )

I’m gna run just the tsl2000 in a 4x2ft tent this time rather than a bigger tent with a few lights.
They shall be grown in coco in the cx horticulture nutes in fabric pot

I have one small problem and that is slow growth and not as vigorous from seed compared to when using hps ….Has anyone got any good options to or solutions of have come into this problem aswell …. I don’t mind having a longer veg but I’m hoping for a 4 month turnaroun realisticly

thanks all happy growing

Probably temps are too low hps compared to leds is the lack of infrared leds emit so having temps at the canopy around 85 or 86.5 I find perfect helps photosynthesis and metabolic growth is greatly increased
I run a little oil radiator in there thru the winter to get temps up and in the summer it’s not a problem …. It may just be that tho I’ve never run it in high 80s always low 80s or high 70s could a few degrees slow this ? I’ve got a cut to run now aswell picked up some peyote cookies last night so I’m gna grow side by side and see if it’s just vigour from seeds and cuts thanks for the input tho

Deff few degrees makes a difference and if you will do this test you will see yourself my first run with LEDS I ran 86-88 at canopy and had amazing results but 88 started stressing unless you have co2 so the run after I ran temps at canopy around 82-83.5 and at first looked good but after harvest yields suffered and density was not as compact so the run after that I decided to replicate more the first run by keeping the temps steady as possible at the canopy 86.5 and room temp around 84-85 and by controlling the room temp is how I control canopy I don't depend on light height because I run lights that depend on height for ppfd and footprint so results would change different worry more about canopy at the top temps than even ambient just gotta get there

Temperature is the biggest change from HID to LED. Canopy temps on HID are higher than LED, slow down your exhaust and that should do the trick. Or, turn it off and pump CO2!

When considering co2 there's more than just 1 factor to consider
1- are you delivering enough ppfd above 900 or 1000 if not it's gonna just be a waste
2- co2 increases humidity are you able to take on that extra element
3- do you have a sealed environment for co2 so it's safe to not be hazardous to your health and your not wasted by exhausting outdoors
4- adding co2 you will have to increase temps for the stomata to function so the exchange co2 and oxygen will be utilized

In all this just increase temps by lowering lights if it dosent affect footprint and won't burn plants or increase the thermostate possibly lowering your exaust fan as long as you can exchange all the air in your room every 3 min
