yeh i dont suppose that light lowers any way? thats your problem, good for clones no doubt, but not for real vegetive growth

Yeah the 3 striplights directly above the seedlings are on chains, but im buggered for lowering it any further coss of my domes (not shown) should i remove domes now?

Will i even percevere with it cos my mom is Thai Stick and seeds were something different. I was wanting a bit of a mix in the garden. and id be back 2 weeks if i had to start again.

A bit harsh the comment on lighting reqmnts buster, yes im a noob but have successfully vegged seedlings and clones with this same set-up already. Is there no hope for these babies? at all?:peace:

OK went with 3 seeds, 2 were the same and one different strain. I think we're looking at some kind of big bud and hindu kush. Anyone knows better, please please advise.

seeds germinated middle to end of March, Seedlings stretched in domes during early part of April IMG_0941.jpg

Took some criticism at this stage, stopped posting on this thread and kept the head down.

A few weeks later they had all vegged directly under the 3x13w strips with the domes removed. 2x 85W tubes above these. Vitalink Grow used at this stage. One half strength dose.

I missed some pictures between these 2 dates and more importantly the exact date I started flowering. Im estimating I began flowering in the first week of May. The plants look like they have been in the new room for a good while under the HPS. As far as im concerned the Veg process was successful.

First Pic is of the Kush, second is a close-up

Third is of the Big Bud, Fourth a close-up of that.

Ladies are now on Full strength Vitalink Bloom Nutes and a supplement from Biobizz. Theyre fed from surface mostly and take up to 2 litres per night. I fed nutes every second watering, watering until water ran out the pot. Mostly upon entering the room the following day, the trays would be dried out.

Those look llike mine do at the moment - do ya reckon I should leave them under 24hour lighting for a couple weeks? How much/often were you watering them between this photo and the other one a couple weeks later? Just wondering if I'm over or under-watering...also did you use nutes at this stage?

50 -57 days flowering, something like that.

Pic 1. Kush hasn't really done much bar filling out, smells very Earthy, very sticky buds.

Pic 2. Close up of the top cola of the Kush, its pretty solid!

Pic 3. Bigbud? Right Hand side. Best Full shot at the time of the whole plant. (Mate insisted at this point she must have been something crossed with/or Bigbud. Lovely sweet smell, large hard buds and lots of them. ps did anyone notice I lost a plant along the way. Yes thats the one I kept as a mom - she also doing well.)

Pic 4,5. Porn is coming out now Guys, this plant is covered in buds about the size of a regular household buld.

Pic 6,7. Creme de la creme, for me anyway. This is the top cola from the Big Bud.

Pic 8. No point me saying they're the size of lightbulb's without proving it.

Harvested the Bigbud, couldn't wait any longer. Crazy prices on the streets for crap solids. Tricks were beginning to turn amber. Hung the trimmed branches on 2 drying racks. Yield in total from this plant was just over 2.5 ounces. I Harvested the Kush 7 days later and it yielded 2.25oz.
Totally different taste, smell and smoke. I prefer the bigbud. Still got both top colas in curing jars.

some people would tell you to chuck them and start over. I say give them a chance. You want to start giving them some dark period at this stage to promote growth so get into an 18/6 regime. Nutes arent necessary at this stage if you have good quality soil. I used a half strength solution just to give them a wee push. Watering at this stage is crucial; drown them and they stall, leave them thirsty and they stall. I watered every other day just until the water ran through the pot. What pot size you got? what lights? any fans to create movement & promote stem strength?

Ah right - I was just thinking of starting 24hr lighting after 5 weeks from seed to get them bigger...water every other day tlll the bottom leaks, cool...been watering them every 3 days...

Pot size is about er...5.3x5.3 inches whatever that comes out at in terms of volume.

Lights 2x20watt cfls...only a small cupboard though (few feet tall by a couple deep/wide)...

Roughly 120/130ml every other day then...MAYBE with a little baby bio every other watering ya reckon?

First time I've tried them in the 24hr grow cycle, before that for 5 weeks they were just in the window with the fan on...not got space in the cupboard for the fan though - splinted them with wooden cocktail skewers the other day...the skewers are much thicker than the plants actual stem which is a concern after 5 weeks...the actual plants aren't supposed to be a large strain anyway, but surely they must be bigger than 5-inches at 5-6 weeks?!

dont know how good baby bio is and I have no experience with cfl's. From what I read they are fine for veggin. Check out the CFL forum in Indoor growing

Your ammount of water sounds of for that size of pot. Keep them close to the lights as you can without frying them. Get a small 4" extractor fan to generate some movement in your cupboard. Good for the plant to breathe and the stems to fatten up.
