2x150w Hans LED Panel or 300w Growking LED Panel

Hi all,

I am new to the scene and I have spent weeks now on reading and comparing.

I think I have found my setup:

- Homebox R120 (120x90x180)
- 6 girls
- 400m2 Filter exhaust
- temp and humidity control
- fans

I am pretty much all set up, buttttt

What light should I get?

2 of the 150w hans panel?

Or

A 300w growking ful spec panel

Or

... something totally different?

Hmm, the Growking doesn't list it's efficacy so difficult to say how much light it puts out, although it does appear to be a 300w unit.

But it's likely the Hans panel is more efficient and puts out more light. I'd go with the 2 Hans.

Yes, the growking is one 300W unit.

Do you think 2x150W is good for 120x90x180cm and 6 plants?

Or should I go with 4 plants?

I am pretty good with electronics and in diy...

Is it noteworthy to build a panel myself quality wise?

Have you considered anything else for lights like a couple RW-150's, optic cob, or diy? Or you set on those? And as far as plants. Up to you and your varieties. I grow more in a 4x4 than most would unless doing a real sea of green, 18-24 plants typically at all times. Just how i do it. So just something you have to play with and decide on.
 
I am an electrician, so if there is a good diy way I am down.

I thought the Hans panels are pretty good?! The reflectors for each LED seems nice.

The Optic led look interesting! I am from europe... I think shipping and tax is not profitable :-/

Which of the optic led would you do for my tent?
 
There are tons of diy builds. If you go through the first couple of pages you should find a CXB 3590 build, Vero, maybe a CXA 3070, bml spydr clone build thread. I suggest you scan through a couple different people's builds. I think i documented my build too but mines pretty minimalistic and not as nice of a design.
 
I hadn't checked out Han's web store in a while. I thought he started mixing in whites but only has one 90 watt red/white unit. Blurple must be in demand. At any rate I think Han's uses efficient diodes and the reflectors somewhat make up for their wide angle emission. Seems like decent stuff to me... but you could use more for that space. In general with the more efficient brands... 500 watts wouldn't be overkill in your space.

DIY will be more for less but it can be a bit of work and planning involved, just depends on whether you have the time and inclination. Not difficult.
