hey experience folks.. i plan to clone my plants next week,but i still have a few quick questions need to solve...i m sorry if they r repeated questions , but i really can not find the answer..maybe they r too simple and stupid~~ my problems below: 1. how thick of stem shall i clone them?if its diameter is just about 0.5mm...??? 2. dose the clone must come from the main stem ?cos' i watched some video about it,they all cut the clone from the main stem!! 3. can i root the clone in DWC?? it really confuses me,dose it wont be overwatering??why?? pls allot a few mins for me.... no matter what you said,it's help...

1) I've successfully clones from very thin stems a number of times, just make sure that the cut area is sufficient for producing roots.
2) Take your clones from the branches, not the main stem. The tips of branches work. Some people say to take the cuts lower down on the stem and it will have more success rooting, but I have never personally seen higher success rates using that method, and I have excellent success cloning from all parts of the plant.
3) You can root a clone in a DWC, that shouldn't be a problem. You could root a clone in just a cup of water. Of course I prefer using Rapid Rooters as they have a perfect balance of aeration and are made with materials that contain natural rooting hormones.
