I want to throw a Shout out to this site as it has been very helpful. Have read countless threads full of knowledge and have decided to embark on my own adventure. I have no experience what so ever w/growing just some high ambitions and some heavy confidence I can grow some budz. I have been on acouple other sites with the same intent but find this one to be the best and most helpful. Now down to business. My setup is pretty simple 400 watts of flouros (4 40 watt cool white tubes in shoplight fixture 6 26 watt bulbs and 2 42 watt bulbs) 1 small desk/office fan 1 rubbermaid container. Seeds are mostly bag seed with 2 sour diesel seeds I lucked out with a recent quarter of smoke. Germed around 70 seeds 54 plus 1 sour diesel sprouted and then planted in 9oz cups. I bought a bag of store brand soil it was more like mud which really had the seedlings curling. I over watered too which didn't help the situation. 10 of the seedlings died from my screw up. Anyways I had to buy some new soil and some perlite not much of a selection so I had to go with Miracle grow. I have read some bad things about their soil but so far it has helped alot. Helped some of the yellowing I was getting on the plants and has really turned them bright green. Most of the plants will be a month old Friday some are younger as I had to start some new ones to replace the dead. I was really nervous having to transplant the seedlings so soon but the soil sucked and the roots started to come out the bottom holes. I moved them to large subway cups cut down a little with holes in the bottom. They have really taken off since being put in bigger containers. Best thing is I didn't kill 1 plant during repotting. 3 of the plants that were curled really bad and had a little wilt on them have come back to life with new grow. The lights are on 18/6 switching to 12/12 soon. So far the shitty soil is the only problem Ive had. I rarely us the fan as temps are around 60 to 75 at the most. I'll run it acouple hours a day to help strengthen the stems. This is by no means a complicated grow. I plan on keeping things as easy as possible and will begin to use nutes in a week. I was wondering what the best formula is? I seen some Shultz at ths store any good? think it was 10-15-10 ? Never have used nutes b4. Is it smart to start at a quarter feedind and moving to half the dosage next watering I think thats how it's done? Any suggestions would be helpful as I'm learning as I'm going. Going to post some pics of set up and plants

They should be bigger than that with a month of vegging. Good luck with flowering. I suggest when you switch to flowering, get some nutrients! With that 400w hps you are going to shit out weed!!! (Jealous)

I don't have a HPS. I am running 400 watts of mixed Flouros. Not all plants are a month old. I think growing in smaller cups stunted growth as the roots were circular around bottom of the cup. Since re-potting they have really taken off growing. What brand of nutes would be recomended?

I'm going to stay with the flouros going to add another 100 or so watts next week with some warm bulbs. First time grow planning on investing into a 1000 watt hps after this harvest and use these lights for cloning and some vegging. I have seen and smoked good bud from this type of set up so I know it will work. Of course I will have better yields with the HPS but I can't complain with what Im working with now as they are responding well so far. Any1 w/ suggestions on a good nute brand. Can't find any Foxfarm here locally any other good brands?

....like dude above me said..everything is cool now but when they flower you are going to need a lot more light, alot more fans and a lot more space....if you are going to be running that many watts you really need to look into hps...the set up you have now is just a waste of power....

Nice work so far, but something tells me you're not going to keep all those babies when they get bigger. You're going to run out of space really fast. I have a grow tent that's about 1 square meter and it's packed full with only 5 plants that are at full maturity(3+feet and bushy as hell).
