So I grew out 2 White Widow X Big Bud and have harvested, time to start a new grow. Going to try a different approach with the plants should be interesting. Got a new setup so I have more space and light. Running a 400watt HPS in a 4'x4'x6'6" tent. Plants will be Pineapple Chunk and Orange Bud grown in soil.

LOL...grow what you know, no school like old school. I gotta have my modified drit weed, besides it doesn't taste the same when home grown.

You know I'm subbed up, Tx. Lets see what ya can do with hps...
What are your plans anyway? scrog? mainline?

Have been debating on both, but with the number of plants in the tent I'm thinking of going all mainline. I know I'm going to lose half of my bag seed or I expect to at least and that will make some room. May just even do both at the same time, just not sure the plants are still to small yet to do anything with.

sub'd up Tx :) Can't wait to watch these babies GROW!

So tru about the mexican chit....I've had some pretty nasty bagseed come out KILLA when grown indoors. They LOVE the LOVE. Plus...you know that comerch is NOT dried and cured properly. And that makes ALL the difference :) Good luck Bud!

Nothing wrong with a bagseed experiment if you have the space and need to fill it...
I had one turn out female and left it in with my Bruce Banner...

Well good luck with your grow, best thing I can tell you is just keep the media moist but not soaking wet. I give my seedlings 2 cups of water pH'd to 6.00 for 2 to 3 weeks, and I wait at least 2 to 3 days between watering. Start out with quarter strength nutes when you go to feed the first time and watch how they react, then just bump your nutes up week by week till you get to full strength. But watch your plants as some don't like strong nutes right off, you may need to cut them back or not get to full strength.

It's a strong plant and reacts well to training. It smokes really good and smooth. I'd denfiately grow this again. I got two different pheno's with the two I grew, one the buds were more a big bud strain dominant and the other more white widow. I don't think anyone that grew this would be disappointed.

I don't know much about the metric system but I'd say somewhere between .25 and .50 a liter. Depending on how close you keep your light and how much ventilation you have it shouldn't dry to fast or to deep. When you stick you finger in the dirt as long as it isn't wet to touch or sticking to your finger it is dry enough to water again. Letting them dry a bit helps force roots to grow looking for food and moisture.

Cool thanks for that ill go for that they are going pretty well and are getting new leaves every other day so it must be healthy enough, it was drying quick the soil in 1st 2 days until my fan and 5inch extractor and carbon filter came now its staying moist longer and feels better temps wise, The Liberty Haze is going rapid cant wait....

So two weeks in the dirt and they are growing right along, had an issue with the original Orange Bud seed so I popped 2 more to take it's place along with a bag seed clone that turned out to be male.

I keep forgetting this is a new grow. I was like "Wow, They got small!" heh.

So what is the situation, Tx? You have a dimmable ballast? Are you running this puppy at 50% or you running full power? What is the plan for this grow?

Hey Amaximus, right now since they are babies and I have the light still low on them I'm going 50%. Don't want to burn them up as temps are up in the 90's day time and drop in the 60's at night. I will probably go 75% in a couple weeks while doing some training. I'm running 20/4 with the light and when I go to 75% will cut back to 18/6. Would be nice if I could pull off a win in the party cup grow and add the ferro 150 to the tent.

Ha, It looks as if your running your setup the same as me, Right down to the 20/4 schedule. Except I think I am going to maintain the 20/4 schedule from here on out so I can grow autos in the veg tent as well as give the girls extra time to recover from the serious mainlining I'm doing to them.

Once your temps go down it is smooth sailing. We still had 80s/90s when I hooked up my ballast and now its down to mid 60s/70s (and going lower) from here on out. It still gets to around 83/85 in the tent @ 600w but I'm completely ok with that considering the summer we had.

Ahh, The party cup girls. Right now they are the stars of my grow, which is nice but also underscores how badly I planned my next grow. heh. At least the girls pistils are starting to turn... I imagine yours are or will be very soon as it seems ours plants seem to be on the same pace.

Looking forward to the updates...

So I've been tending the garden some thought I'd let everyone see where I'm at.

I've topped all the big plants and have begun to build a manifold on a few, I will be mainlining everything in this tent. One of the Orange Bud seedlings is going in my other tent so I can do a scrog with her.

Here it is 4 weeks in the dirt, as you can see I have done some marjor trimming and bending to get them going.
