600 w Hps Help

hi guys was researchign all the lumes and stuff per plant or watever it is

i was wondering if i wanted a bigger yield

under a 600 hps what would be better for yield 6 plants or 10? (in a 1.5x1.5m tent)

depends on the size of the plants but i would say 6

i flowered 10 of them at 12"

Most likely 6 unless ur doing autos or a very small compact strain then maybe 10...Im doing 9 autos under a 600w quantum ballast and cooltube and 15 days from seed standing at 6-8inches tall and 3to4 sets of leaves...GOOD LUCK

if your doing sog then 6- 10 is fine a 600w light is usually 90,000 lumens or 95,000 at the most, You want to have around 80 watts per plant if you want good results but agian it depends on the size of the plant, Id say your gna want to put the plants into flowering around 6 inches if u wanna do 10

It all depends on how you grow them, or more accurately....how well you fill the grow area. You don't want any open spaces, nor do you want overcrowding. So, basically, you could end up with the same yield, either way, if you manage your canopy correctly. 10 narrow plants will yield the same as 6 that are more spread open(trained, if necessary), but'll probably take slightly less veg time, 'cause they'll be flowered at a smaller size than the 6.
