setting up for next grow. my feminized beans will be here in a couple days

things i got

29,500 btu ac
8 - 1000 watt hps lights
8 inch fan with carbon filter.
4 - fans

trying to put 9 plants per 1000 watt with a total of 72 plants and get 3 oz's per plant

is that fair?

will post some of my nutes and pics later.

basically im going to get a square pot the size of each tile.

lemme know if 3 oz's per plants sounds good...also this is my first time going this big but i think i can handle it. especially with you guys backing me up..

forgot to mention. ill be using miracle grow, moisture control...cheap i know...but ehh itll work for now....

thanks

pics coming soon

the media is a big factor in yeild, if you commit to that investment and wish to have good results dont start off by cutting corners.

MG soils are not horrible just full of sticks and filler that is useless

With a grow that big, I wouldn't bother with soil. You'll have a TON of waste at the end to dispose of, not to mention daily waterings will take 2 hours. Personally I'd go hydro to make it a lot easier on yourself.

i would but i have no knowledge of hydro.. i just dont wanna go this big into hydro because i might mess somthing up.. i mean i really know nothing of hydro

You should be getting around 500-1000 grams (1-2ish pounds) per 1000 watts depending on the strain and the technology you use (co2 for example). How long are you vegging for? I grow under 1000s and I put 6 plants per 1000... but these 6 are about 4-5 feet tall before i flip them into bloom. I just let them christmas tree up and like giving my plants room to spread and open their leaves. if you only plan on yielding 3 ounces per plant then are you even vegging them at all?

wow those are tall how do you get the proper light pentration

sweet jesus thats a decent sized grow, keep it updated, would love to see how it comes out, best of luck man, hope this goes good. also wat kinda strains u growin

I grow Super Lemon Haze the leaves are super thin allowing light to get to lower parts of the plant (also I use 6 plants instead of 9 per 1000 watts which allows each plant ample room for optimal lighting). Light penetration is not as much of an issue for sativas because of their thin leaves. Also use Styrofoam/mylar covered walls which is super reflective. But with that said Im not a super experienced grower so take what I say with a grain of salt. I lucked out when I bought my seeds and got 2 plants that grow retardedly fast so I use those for my moms which helps them get huge before in a really short period of time.

how can you fit 9 large plants under a 1000 watter? how tall are they when you flip them to bloom how long do you veg them for?

i wasnt going to grow them to be large. i was going to kick flower in as soon as it hits about 16 inchs or so..with that being said.. veg will be short. about 4 weeks. think itll be possible to get 3 oz's from each plant? with a 1000 watt light supporting each 9 plants?

I have no experience growing but man, with some good seeds that you got you should take your time and veg them out nice n long. Give them a good soil, go to your local Garden Store and get basically anything besides miracle grow, Fox Farms preferred or Subcool's super soil even better. You should really wait this out IMO and get some huge trees in veg before you start, then do 6 plants only under a light, with the other 3 leftover for next grow. Also, you might want to invest in a bottle of Grandma's Unsulfered Molasses, i believe the watering for that is 1 tbl spn/1Gallon water. on that I personally would water with molasses every Tuesday and Friday.

Thats what I would do if i was doing your caliber of grow.

Sorry if i am rambling...im high :D

Man its a lot more than lights. Yield is dependent on:

1) Strain some strains produce more than others.
2) growing conditions (nutes, temp, CO2, humidity etc...)
3) Lights (watts per square foot 50-110 etc)

but yes... If all 3 of these are dialed in then I would expect 1 pound per 1000 watts or better (1 pound if you are good and 2 pounds if you really know your shit and have the money to invest). Its really tough to say though this is a rough back of the envelope guestimation. The strain alone can double yield given exact same growing conditions.
